Why is Naruto an Uzumaki and not a Namikaze??

He originally had his mother's surname because if he had his father's he would have been targeted for who his father was, after knowing who his parents were I think he kept Uzumaki because he's had it for so long.

Perhaps, It is for protect him from Minato's enemies like Iwa.
