I wanna know what about the transmigrant chakra.
SO6P clearly states he sees Ashuras chakra clinging to Naruto.
But what does that mean?
do the "ghosts" share their chakra with the person they are attached to?
I belive everything madara, hashirama, sasuke and naruto achived, all their strenght is theirs alone ( or gained from kyuubi, sharingan)
not got from the transmigrant ghosts.
Thats why Hashi and Mady are still powerfull even when under EdoTensei.

So what the sage did was actually awake, merge the chakra of his sons with Naruto and Sasuke.
Thats why these two got sudden large powerups, dont think he gave them his chakra.

For Sasuke it makes perfect sense. Sasuke was an infant during the Nine-tails attack. The Nine-Tails attack happened quite soon after Madara let himself die. There is definitely possible months between Madara dying and Sasuke being born, but they line up really nicely to go hand-in-hand with the accepted idea of reincarnation. That being when the person dies, they are reincarnated into a new-born.

Its a totally different story when you think about Naruto.

Hashirama lived to see Tsunade as a young girl. He likely only lived until she was about 5. We can round Tsunade's age off to 55, meaning Hashirma died 50 years before the current timeline. This creates a 34-year gap between Hashirama's death and Naruto's birth.

Was there a reincarnation between Hashirama and Naruto that died young? Is Kishi's idea of reincarnation differ from the mainstream in that the soul doesn't reincarnate instantly? Was Ashura's soul sitting idle by waiting for a new person to reincarnate as until Naruto was born? I was curious about people's thoughts on this.
The uchiha clan was still alive during the nine tails attack so sasuke wans't an infant

Seems to me the spirit of the Sons simply jumps from one generation to another, waiting for the other to die before doing so. I wouldn't say they are ghosts, I tend to think of them as conscious-less entities of some sort.

Uuuuh ya he was an infant. Naruto was a newborn and Sasuke an infant. I think you have the timeline mixed up, but Sasuke was a boy when the Uchiha were wiped out which obviously means he was younger during the Nine Tails incident, considering the other clan members were still alive.

Ashura probably wants to redeem his relationship with Indra, so he waits until Indra chooses a reincarnation. Hence how Indra always becomes the older one.

If Ashura was simply waiting for a good match of chakra, he probably could've chosen Jiraiya, Minato, hell Obito would've probably been the best choice for him. The catalyst for Ashura's reincarnation I believe is Indra choosing a new body.

Naruto will go through thick and thin for Sasuke, and Sasuke is admittedly one of his greatest motivations in the manga. Ashura just wants to restore the broken bond with Indra I think, similar to Naruto.

But to answer the OP, I think this would make Kishi's reincarnation rules different from mainstream beliefs, and it appears that way.

I'm not sure if this was lost in discussion but it almost sounded like it is implied that Indra and Ashura had the ability to control who to reincarnate. So6P explicitly stated that Indra's and Ashura's chakra were transmigrated to next people that had same ideals and abilities. It was not mentioned who they reincarnated after their death but we do know who were the previous reincarnation of Indra and Ashura before being reborn into Sasuke and Naruto. So6P answered this inquiry made by Naruto, which were Madara and Has

If you want to go by the real world myths, then you need to Knows that Ashura is a guardian. In this sense, he does not have to do anything if Indra is incapacitated. He probabli decided to have fun with Hagoromo in the other realm while waiting.

Certainly makes sense if Kishi has his own idea for it. Someone brought up the possibility that Ashura reincarnated into Minato before Naruto, which is possible. If he went straight from Hashi to Naruto, then yes it obviously does break the mainstream belief.

If Ashura went straight from Hashi to Naruto, then yes there must be some control of who they reincarnate into or some subconscious decisions being made. Either way, it doesn't seem to match up with the 'auto reincarnation' where you are reborn immediately after dying.

I'mma just quote myself.

Nobody.

I'm assuming that Asura and Indra's reincarnations happen very close to one another. Hashirama and Madara were about the same age. I suspect Madara, outlived Hashirama for decades and eventually died after recruiting Obito, was - like Indra - older than Hashirama. When he died, Indra was then born into Sasuke, who is older than Naruto.

And thus the elder (Indra/Madara/Sasuke) and the younger brother (Ashura/Hashirama/Naruto) were born once again.
tl;dr - Indra's incarnations will always be older than Ashura's incarnations.
