i was thinking her mind/consciousness got absorbed by the juubi/shinju, and her body was left a lifeless husk. but the foul chakra maybe remained and somehow someone trapped it sealing it away and it became the reaper death seal tech. which would in fact make her both, one the mind, the other the body.

Completely agree with your theory, good job as always.

Although i would like to add that the wheb Hun part of her soul departed the body after her death, her corpse which has the other portion of her soul transformed inro the Juubi, as i believe that the current juubi is the offspring of the original one which Kaguya ate the fruit from, and that the original Shinju had died, and the fruit that Kaguya ate somehow bloomed into an adult shinju which fought the sage brothers. That'a evident from last chapter wheb Kaguya's soul within the Shinju called out to Madara and asked him to collect the remaining chakra which Hagoromo split among mankind, which leads to the conclusion that Hagoromo indeed was a weaker Jinchuriki than Madara right now as he didn't have the shinju's full power

That's like saying the death god is on the same power scale as the juubi, both are strong but the juubi is on a completely different tier

maybe the death god was hagoromo's brother... just saying

Well some speculated that too however the Death God of RDS is a Hannya Demon who are all females (jealous/obsessed females) in Japanese Myth. :)

Also, the Death God much like Kaguya are both wearing Kimonos, Hagoromo and his brother are wearing Haori Cloaks.

Many speculated that Kaguya is the Death God (Hannya Demoness) of the Shiki Fuujin:

While others (based on the latest chapter) speculate that Kaguya is the Juubi:

Many will choose one over the other: she is either the Death God or the Juubi

But these two hypothesis need not be mutually exclusive. She can be both.

We know that in Taoism, there is the cosmic duality of Yin and Yang.

You must be registered for see images

This duality is also applicable to the soul: it is called Hun (魂) and Po (魄)

The Hun (Yang Soul) is the spiritual part which departs from the body after death

Hun is also associated with Spirit Tablets aka Ancestral Tablets:

And the Po (Yin Soul) is the soul which remains with the corpse of the deceased

The ancient chinese script for Po 魄/霸 also meant "Lunar Brightness"

So it is possible that Kaguya's soul was split in two, either the Death God is the Hun (Yang Soul) while the Juubi is the Po (Yin Soul) or the other way around.

Deathgod, can very well be.

In my opinion RDS is an Uzumaki jutsu and I still go for the Hagaromo's brother being the father of the Uzumaki (helping seal the juubz) and continuation of the Hyuuga linage (Kaguya).

Kaguya sinned by eating the fruit, so she can't be the juubz/fruit.tree, or only part of it(and I doubt it). Seeing that it's both evil, both her mind and body would stay behing. So I like your hun po incorporation.

I think her essence transmigrated into her sons somehow, or in theirs... and through Ashura into Bijuu and so scattered eventually. Then her essence was put together again through the Gedo and Juubs... being tree + chakra into juubs into jin, into summoning and so into tree/fruit.

So her hun did not become the tree/fruit/ nor juubs, but the three functioned as a container.

But hee... it's not like Kishi will ever explain this... lolz

Repped!

You might be right, but I voted for the Juubi for now.

Honestly, if it were not for explicit facts, then I would say she is both Death God and Juubi, but while the first one shows similarities each time the death god has been exposed, the second one was almost explicitely revealed in the last chapter.

Don't get me wrong, I believe she is also the Death god, but this one is just a hunch... I can't tell it with certainity.

What if the Tree has always ben sentient? And what we Saw was the Eyes of the tree? Kaguya prior to eating the fruit had no need for the eyes sines She did not yet possess the Chakra to use them. I say it was after She ate the Fruit that She received the eyes to use with the chakra. Calle it cause and effect and now the Tree sees its opportunity with Madara to take back what was it from the very beginning.

Nice thread! Personally, I think that she is the Juubi/God tree since Madara was surprised about finding out the origin of the tree last chapter. Also like you posted there was an image of her eyes.

I agree....

but this thread is so much diff from your others i expected lots more lol

Nice theory man! I'd probably agree that she's both. Perhaps the Reaper is the remnants of her past essence prior to eating the Shinju Fruit, and after consuming the fruit the little "humanity" she had left was disregarded.
lol Hinata.
