It was said (at least in the anime) that if you have a weak will you will be knocked out. Best example is when WB and Shanks had a meeting on WB's ship. Shanks knocked out half of the crew because they had a weak will. Even Marco warned them to leave before he arrives. Same goes when Luffy tried to save Ace in the war. He knocked out those who have a weak will. So the answer to your question is: it doesn't matter if you are a beast when fighting or not, if you have a strong will you won't be knocked out. If you don't believe me, remember Luffy vs Gorgon sisters. He knocked out most of the arena spectators to save one of the girls. Some of them remained conscious even tho he was way much more stronger than them.

My question is... how that all. "Strenght of spirit." Actually works and what it means?

Does it even mean... strong physical body? Or is it just as they say, it means to have a strong will!

In which case I got to say.. Strong will? F'uck yeah! All that sh'it Usopp and Nami had to go through, and the ONLY thing pulling them through, or making them fight on, or making both of them face impossible odds, knowing they are impossible, but fight with all they got any-ways... strong will?

Yes sir yes..

Are they physically strong? No.. no they are not. But.. has that any-thing to do with who gets knocked easier out by Conqours Haki and who doesn't it?
Isn't it the will of mind and spirit that counts in this situation? You can be the biggest brute on earth, but have a very weak spirit, so you'll be knocked out instantly.. or be a little pipsqueck.. or let us just call him Usopp, but have an enourmus will, even if he doesn't know it, that has been nurtered and trained in the previous stories, that'll be able to stand against most conqours hakis?????

I'll imagine it was actually also kind of Rayleighs way of testing the people in front of him, just throw out a conqours haki and look at who is affected and whom isn't.. who's going to pass the test?
I could absolutely see him delibarely casting it at Luffy just to see if Luffy can hold his own against it, and if he can't... he is not worthy of that hat.
But he could, so it's all oki doke.

It makes sense in my world...

Why are people dodging the question?

I don't think he used his CoC to the max. Imo he sent somewhere around 30% to see who would fall and who wouldn't. Looks like that Law's crew member is weak-sauce.

Glad someone is addressing the question. Is it possible to send out only like 20% or 30%? I get the feeling it was stated otherwise when Rayleigh said that you can not strengthen CH only control it. Wait till we see Law's crew now. It probably rivals Captain Usopp's.

Apart from will, it also depends on the power gap. All the ones knocked out in Amazon Lily were civilians, the warriors endured it. This was stated. But wait, Usopp also has a weak will (and a weak body). Remember him trying to excuse himself out of dangerous situations? Nami doesn't have a tremendous will either.
I catch your drift though, thanks.

Could be. But again Usopp has a weak will though apparently. He usually flees from dangerous situations, with one or two exceptions.

but what kind of power gap? what kind of power? mental? physical? or DF? physical strength doesn't matter when using haki, nor DF powers. other than that we only have mental what is actually the willpower itself. you are mistaken in thinking any other thing matters. you keep saying "power gap, power gap", but don't you think when Shanks visited WB everyone other than the 12 leader would have been knocked out, which wasn't the case? and I'm talking about Shanks, 1 of the yonkos. the "power gap" between him and the regular pirates on WB's ship is immense too and half of them still remained conscious.

btw it's pretty much obvious Raylight didn't target the Straw Hats. why would he do that? he was "only" interested in Luffy, so there was no reason to test them all.

Many were rendered unconscious when Shanks boarded the WB ship. Some didn't faint. But then again, they are WHITEBEARD'S crew.
Yes it seems that there is both a physical aspect and a mental one too. Maybe a massive physical power gap only makes it easier to knock someone out, but not a certainty. If someone is very strong willed, they may hold their own too.
Still unclear though if Rayleigh did or did not spare the Strawhats. How did he know which ones were Strawhats, particularly Brook? He was a new addition unknown to the world. If Rayleigh did indeed blast at Strawhats as well, how Nami and particularly Usopp the coward endured it is a mystery.

I do think more of CH will be revealed later on, as to what makes it so dangerous and rare. But I wonder if this will ever be cleared up beyond a shadow of doubt. It's unlike Oda.

Actually... he doesn't.
He often initially says he would rather run... but he sticks around any-ways.
He has only genuinely run away from battle like... three or four times in the entire manga, and each time, he ended up turning around and give it his all in the forthcoming battle anyhows.

There's only been one single time he didn't turn around, and that was aaaalll the way back in Namis arch, where Usopp left Zoro tied to a boat and then jumped into the water himself, avoiding a battle. How-ever, that was in the very beginning of the journey, and he grown a hell of a lot since.

Some-times it even seems the single one person the most convinced he just is a coward so he has to act it, is himself.

But he always comes back to fight his no win scenarios any-ways, and fights with all he freaking got.
Against Kissu, in Alabasta, in Skypia, in effing Water Seven/Enies Lobby, in Thriller Bark he is ALWAYS there putting his life on the line, IN the front line, fighting in spite of what he said. And the only thing helping him through lots of the time, is his sheer willpower and smarts.

Don't be so easily fooled by what he says or initially act, try and see if you can find any situation where he actually doesn't eventually turn around and come right back, to fight with all that he got in a no win scenario, even though he is out-matched and he knows it, even though he gets beaten up to a pulp, he just continues fighting any-how.
