Who has been lived the most tragic life?

Madara takes this by miles.
-He was forced to fight in a war at the age of 10.
-He lost 4 of his brothers in war.
-He lost his parents and everyone who was blood related to him.
-He lost his little brother Izuna, who he loved greater than Itachi could possibly love Sasuke in cold blood.
-He lost the trust of his clan as leader, the trust of Senju who he allied with, and his best friend Hashirama, because of that bastard Tobirama.
Unlike some other people who had people look after and care for them, Madara failed to protect all the ones he loved dearly and was discriminated. Madara lost everything he had, and despite all of it, he put it behind his back like a man.

Itach didn't LIVE a horrible life.
I mean, yes half of his life was bad.
But the first half of his teenage years were normal.
Now Sasuke, he was barely a teen before he watched his family/clan get murdered by his own brother who he loved. Since that young age he as carried that memory on his back. It was his reason to live. To kill his own brother he use to love. That. That is a pretty sad life.
Then there's Naruto. Never even had a family. In my opinion, not exactly as sad as Sasuke's life. But more.. lonely.
Gaara had a pretty sad life as well :/
But I'ma have to go with Sasuke being the most tragic life. Or possibly Nagato.

Naruto/Gaara take the title for worst childhood by far imo, but not worst life. They know what love is now.
Gaara is currently the kage of the Sand and has a nation of people backing him up, supporting him, etc.
Naruto is now the #1 hokage candidate and has an entire alliance praising him and cheering him on. The beginning of their lives was absolutely terrible, but know they have more than they could have dreamed of.
Meanwhile, Itachi's life progressively got worse starting from the time he was 4, and the best part of it was actually dying so that he could escape it and his bro could look like a hero, then he came back as an edo just to find out that his plan didn't work out entirely. Not that awesome.

Well, this is all quite subjective.
In Itachi's case, I don't quite find it normal for a 4 year old to grow up during war times and see corpses lying on the ground all around them, but I guess that's just me. I also don't think it's quite normal for parents to praise a kid for joining an assasination squad and then want to use them as a tool to get info on the country they want to take control of. Or for a 10 year old to be a double spy for several years and know that they eventually have to choose a side sooner or later. I don't think Itachi's life at any moment would be considered normal, not even by shinobi standards.
Gaara/Naruto's life stopped being tragic the moment they turned 12 and made friends. At this point, they are admired, respected, and have an entire alliance backing them up. At the moment they have more than any other shinobi their age could dream of. Those two had the worst childhoods, not worst life overall imo.
Nagato has a very tragic life.
Gaara hands down has the worst childhood, no one can compare to him in that respect.
But ever since he turned 12 and met Naruto, his life went on an upward scale. He made friends, became the youngest kazekage ever, has all of the Sand village backing him up, has an entire shinobi alliance respecting him, even made friends with Shukaku, had closure with his father, he even has fangirls. Atm moment Gaara's life is amazing and he accomplished more than most shinobi could ever hope for, so his life overall isn't the most tragic imo, just his childhood was.

itachi is a pure evil psychopath. he wasnt forced to do anything and he certainly didnt protect the village from worse things than his clans coup. he blatantly let orochimaru go and blatantly refused to take down danzo
i am arguing it. kakashi has the worst life and still stayed stable.
he was hated because he was an akatsuki.
he didnt even try to save shisui even though he supposed to be mega fast and mega smart.
he became a huge hypocrite by slaying his family because he went on to not do anything at all to protect konoha or sasuke. he blatantly let villains worse than his family do whatever they want to do.
moreover he had a choice and he chose wrong as he later admitted
he didnt endure. he killed himself, and went insane evil
a tragic character would be someone who suffered without it being at all in his/her control. itachi chose everything that happened to him

I don't like people saying Itachi as if he didn't have a choice. Sure Danzo pushed him into a corner but it came down to a decision at the end. I know it sucked but he chose to kill his kin. It was tragic but he did it to himself.
Kakashis was tragic but pales in comparison to Sasukes and Gaara.
So I'll say Gaara, Sasuke as my answer.

its hypocritcal and pointless because its the last time he will ever do something like that. the rest of his life is nothing but letting villains do whatever the fukc they want and itachi not caring how many die because hes too much of a puss to get off his ass and hunt these guys down.

if your a delusional fanboy who ignores horrible torture and murders, he is.
he tortured his brother, beat him into a coma and turned him into an insane monster all while refusing to stop him to prevent anyone else getting hurt once realising what his brother is willing to do to obtain power.
he needlessly and cruelly tortured and tried to have kakashi killed just for being in his way and despite owning the power level to stop kakashi without even hurting him.
