No one's doubting Itachi's skills, but against a formidable opponent like Madara Uchiha there won't be a chance to use Totsuka blade. It's highy likely that he'll tank every attempts until Itachi runs out of chakra.

No, the tech. sealed the Oro within Sasuke's curse mark. The Oro running around now was in Anko's curse mark and in Kabuto's flesh. Thus making another Oro. This means that Sasuke could make an army of Oro's if he combined the flesh of Kabuto and the curse mark of other curse marks.... this plays into the "immortal" trait of Oro. He could die again and again and as long as there is his flesh and chakara and the curse mark still user hanging around he can just keep coming back.

It potentially could, but if it were here and IF it were actually able to stab Madara, Kishimoto would make it ineffectual. Just like how Night Moth "almost" killed him. Only Naruto and/or Sasuke are allowed to defeat Madara, nothing else done by anyone else will prevail... and simply sealing him would be anti-climatic.

Itachi is a secondary character that has fullfilled his role in Sasuke's story. That's why he was removed.

Besides, every technique has weaknesses and drawbacks, and Madara likely knows what Totsuka's are. Then the Itachi fans would be cutting themselves.

Which Madara are you talking about? Current one? The black orbs can be used to cancel all ninjutsus and yes Sealing jutsus fall under the ninjutsu category unless someone trying to call it taijutsu or ninjutsu. The orbs have the Yin-yang power after all. If other Edo Madara or EMS Madara then Itachi wouldn't even get to stab Madara with it to seal him, Madara would just use his Susanoo to knock Itachi's blade away and Madara's eyes are stronger, he was the only Uchiha shown to see A's Version 2 lightning armor moves, catch him and put him in a genjutsu and A's reaction made it seems like it never ever happened to him before even though his village know Itachi and Itachi's jutsus since Kage Summit.

I'd say Madara could probably destroy it with his onmyoudon or gudou dama, absorb it with Preta or the totsuka blade wouldn't be powerful enough to seal the juubi.

I honestly hope Sasuke does whip the sword out and Madara is able to stop it because it's incredibly broken and overpowered and I'd like to see something match or surpass it.

Pretty much. That would mean that in order to be 100% sure that Oro is gone, one would have to destroy all of the CM users. But that isn't happening anytime soon considering that Sasuke released a prison full of them in the early part of Shippuden.
