Clearing up the Shisui Danzo incident

Sharingan allows you to see through gen. Sasuke and itachi didn't break they used on each other because their gen was being used in a way the wanted. Sasuke had no reason to destroy itachi's illusion. Danzo had a reason to destroy shishui.

Different people had different opinions. We had our own reasonings to defend Shisui and believe that he had done good enough.

Yes, Danzo did use Izanagi on Shisui, and people seem to have a problem with that. But if Shisui had wasted his KA on Danzo, I bet that no one would be batting an eyelash.

The fact of the matter is that Danzo didn't want to kill Shisui, he wanted his eye and succeeded, while Shisui didn't want to kill Danzo considering that it would make the Konoha/Uchiha situation worse. They were even in this respect.

It is Shisui's fault that this happened, considering that he completely let his guard down, and then proceeded to tell Danzo exactly how long it would take to be released from that 3-tomoe genjutsu. Which was essentially pointless, considering that Danzo would know when he'd be released and if it's only a few minutes, there wouldn't be anything to be worried about. If Shisui were smart, he would have bolted out of there when he had the chance, however, he did not and it just looks bad on his part.

Not denying that Shisui is a powerful ninja, but that really wasn't a smart decision on his part. You can have alot of power in this series, but if you're not smart about it then it won't matter in the end. If you put someone else with a sharingan in Shisui's place, like Itachi or Kakashi...would they let their guard down? No, probably not. Itachi would probably put Danzo under a genjutsu and then leave. Kakashi and Itachi also seem to always have their guard up in this arc.

Either way, no matter how much you dislike Danzo, you cannot deny that he fodderized Shisui with only one arm and that the backup wasn't needed, considering that the incident occurred right before they arrived.

Shishui thought he won. That was his mistake.
When itachi genjutdu'd oro he made sure he cut his hand off then bolted.
WEn kakashigenjutsu'd those 2 nin he bolted immediately.
THey didnt stand around chatting useless shit and walking off slow with their guard completely down.

Do you mean that it had to have been 1v1? Because I have rarely seen real fights like that in this series. People use tailed beasts, sensors accompany them, their comrades are with them to provide backup when necessary, healers, etc.

Or do you mean that it wasn't fair because Shisui didn't know Danzo had Izanagi? Because there has never been a fight in this series in which the two opponents had 100% intel on the other. That's the point of a fight, to bring out an attack that your opponent has not seen before and isn't expecting.

Fights are fights. There is no such thing as a "fair fight". Honorable/dishonorable ones, yes. But fair/unfair, no.

Shisui walking away without confirming is opponent is down for the count is similar to Neji deactivating the Byakugan during the chuunin exams.
Both let the guard down and open for attack there was nothing unfair about it.

Funny you say that because Shisui is not even my favorite.I just really,really hate Danzo and think he's a massive punk for jumping Shisui.I also hate the fact people are using that to somehow suggest Shisui got "fodderized" or "soloed".Which is anything but the truth,this would be like arguing Sasuke beat Itachi in their fight.Except Itachi just like Shisui held back and could've beaten Sasuke if he wanted to.

Not entirely the same as the Itachi/Sasuke ordeal. Itachi was planning on dying, because he wanted Sasuke to get the recognition of killing an S-Rank Akatsuki member & avenging the Uchiha clan so that he would be looked at as a hero. Itachi planned that all out.

On the other hand, Shisui wasn't planning on losing his eye to Danzo.

Both Itachi and Shisui did hold back, but what they were planning on doing is entirely different and therefore it's not the same at all. By that logic, I could say that Danzo is the same as Itachi, because he held back and wanted Shisui's eyes, not his life. But that doesn't really hold true either, now does it?

DANZO IS THE BIGGEST A$$*OLE

...for everything that he had done....Uchiha, Nagato, Kabuto, being Orochimaru's partner, hiding when Pain were destroying the village...and where was he during Oro's invasion? He must have been involved in that as well.

That's why seeing him stomped Shisui like that really made me to loathe him so much! Words can't describe it.
