kaguya did not have chakra when she ate the fruit, when she did that she gain almighty powers.

Her byakugan was probably different. I think so because the hyuga have to activate their byakugan which puts veins around their eyes.

Maybe her byakugan was how we saw it all along and with the benefits of the byakugan we know. Or maybe she never had it before she ate the fruit.
