Would Hiruzen make Itachi hokage?

If Itachi wasnt given the mission to kill the Uchihas but instead he grew into a fin shinobi around the age of 22 that know one has ever seen since Minato's death would Hiruzen consider making Itachi the Hokage or would he ask Jiraya/Tsunade/Danzo/Kakashi to be the next hokage

Possible. Hiruzen did note Itachis intelligence.
Hiruzen probably inherited Hashiramas ideals towards the Uchiha.
Hashirama wanted Madara to be Hokage. The Uchiha deserve to be hokage.
Sasuke will be the one to do that. However plot most likely make Naruto hokage.

Yes, if the Uchihas weren't into revolting and Danzo wasn't aiming for the hokage seat anymore, Itachi could have been chosen and he would have made a great Hokage.

It is possible. However, Hiruzen won't be too different from the previous kages who considered Uchiha as a dangerous clan. Especially if the Coup D'etat did happen, and because Uchiha was doomed for the kyubi attack, it was almost impossible for Itachi to be the next hokage.

As I said he makes a better support. I hardly care for Hiruzen saying a guy went through to kill his clan is a Hokage level thinker.. Older Itachi > Younger Itachi.

The guy is meant for support. He is a SHINOBI.. not a Hokage material.

hashirama didnt view the uchiha that way only tobirama did, it was hashirama's plan to make madara the 2nd hokage...and hiruzen already admitted and evens aid itachi didnt live by the clan's views and even said he was more than his clan and he understood things about the village and shinobi that others didnt so what the **** are u talking about....

1. He was the only Uchiha along w/ Shisui known not to go psycho and let his hatred control him.
2. His clan was going to be done by Danzo, Anbu, the Root, & other shinobi, whether he decided to complete the mission or not.
3. If Hiruzen had decided to make either Shisui or Itachi hokage at that point (and we know that Hiruzen loved the village but only resumed his position because he felt no one was left after Minato died, so picking Shisui/Itachi would have been an option & the villagers could come to trust the Uchiha...Shisui/Itachi were quite respected in the village), the Uchiha clan probably would have felt satisfied and the massacre wouldn't have happened.

If things had worked out perfectly then the order would've been like this --> Hiruzen - Minato - Obito - Itachi - Naruto.
