No, Naruto came out in 1997. Hunter X Hunter came out in 1998.

Yup the only bad thing about it concerns the hiatus, but the manga itself is great stuff really(easily one of the best manga i know). You're missing something

Hunter X Hunter is a brilliant manga.. yes there are similarities but not that many.. and with the amount of manga's around you are bound to find a few similarities to those you have read before here and there..

yes this was the case.. i read the same thing from the translaters of the manga.. and yes someone else took over Hunter X Hunter i believe as you noticed the art is slightly different.. however this could just be me noticing things that arnt there and that it is all rumor but alas i hope it comes back soon
