Itachi for obvious reasons.. The man is proficient in genjutsu to the point where all he has to do is point a finger at you.

Tsukiyomi isn't an ability all the Uchiha with MS get. In fact the only Uchiha we definitively know of that can use Tsukiyomi on their own accord is Itachi. We don't even know how Madara plans to exactly cast it on everyone yet, we just know that he has to be a sage and control the juubi to cast infinite Tsukiyomi. Each has their own special third ability, and it comes naturally, you don't create it lol.

I don't need to hear anything you have to say. The scan shows Itachi admitting his Genjutsu techniques pales in comparison to the ultimate Genjutsu, KA of Shisui. Shisui remains the best at Genjutsu, discounting Juubi's Jinchuuriki.

This is about best user. Not most powerful tech that screws you over for 10 years and takes away all of your MS techs for years.

Whether or not Yagura was on friendly terms with Isobu isn't the most relevant thing here, there are other factors to include such as Ao's statement of Obito's prowess along with the fact that Yagura was still a Kage-level shinobi.

Exactly? That scan proves at the very least that there are things that Itachi is better at than Shishui. There are things Shishui can't do in genjtsuu, That Itachi can.

Ao simply said that his eye can see through illusions, reinforced by the fact that he saw through the one that was on the mizukage. He never stated it was on the same level, or similar, he made sure to make that distinction clear by stating the color of danzo's chakra was that of Shishui's.

It is the most important factor here. Because the only reason people give Obito praise was because they assumed he some how bypassed the perf jink's ability to cancel genjutsu

They stated only he was capable of nearly such a thing. Meaning if Obito can control one. Itachi can control many at the same time. Try again?

We don't even know Itachi's abilities as a kid, it's pointless to state things like "He was obviously very proficient thanks to Shisui". I'm sure that his best friend taught him a few things. But prior to knowing Shisui at the age of 8, he completely mastered the 3-tomoe sharingan and he got his MS after Shisui died. He probably saw Shisui cast some genjutsu and learned from that, but to go as far as to say that Itachi is only talented due to Shisui's influence is far off track.

Maintaining a genjutsu beyond the range of sensors is quite impressive, especially if you are the only shinobi who has existed w/ the ability to do so.

Yes. Ao was hyping up Obito when everyone thought he was Madara Uchiha. In all honesty, it's good for Obito, but it still doesn't count for much considering that at that moment in the manga, everyone was overhyping Obito because they thought he was someone else.

No, it does matter. If he wasn't on friendly terms with Yagura, then Isobu wouldn't care enough to break him out of Obito's genjutsu.

Anyone with MS can control the Kyuubi, that includes Itachi.

which I belive is totally different from being the best genjutsu user.IMO Best genjutsu user is more like who is more proficient than who has strong jutsu.It is same as placing Tsunade over Gai interms of taijutsu coz she is physically stronger than him.

That's what Iam trying to say here.No matter how badly you look at it, Itachi is overall more proficient and skilled in case of genjutsu department than anyone else in NV. There are 3 people who hyped Shisui and all of those hypes has one common thing i.e. Shisui has the most poweful genjutsu.Going by that logic even Danzo is better than Itachi as he has Shisuis eye.Remove MS from Shisui(or Danzo) then Shisui has nothing to put him in the best genjutsu users list.
