If any female is going to get more relevance, it is going to be Sakura, considering that she's the only one currently alive as of now that Kishi still cares about. She is the heroine and could possibly be paralleled to Kaguya. However, that being said, I really don't think any females will be getting a considerable amount of more relevance. The manga is ending and none of them really need more.

Kishimoto purposely killed off the Hyuga's relevance in this story when he killed Neji in one page. That was their development. Also, as far as we know the Hyuga are not directly related to the sage, his brother, mother, or sons. Hinata is also still currently unconscious and is relying on her dead cousin to somehow miraculously save Naruto. She's not getting any powerups, nor is she going to have a role in Madara's defeat.

She's still hyuuga and she still has one of the great 3 dojutsu.

There has to be some connection between the sage/his mother/his brother and the hyuuga.

Hinata Hyuuga is irrelevant in the manga now. Which is unfortunate. I used to like her character. Now it's Naruto-kin this & Naruto-kun that.

Everybody is kinda related to the sage, I mean it isn't that special unless you're a direct descent of the sage.

Yes. But there are also other Hyuuga on the battlefield who are stronger than she is and are conscious. I don't think Hinata is getting a powerup soon and going against Madara. Also, I thought that the Hyuuga would get more elaboration in pt2, but they were nearly completely pushed to the side. The Byakugan is not very useful when being compared to the likes of the sharingan or rinnegan, in fact it has gotten no upgrades or powerups for all of Shippuden. There isn't even a backstory behind it. What is stopping Kishi from leaving them out of this too? There doesn't "have" to be connection w/ the Hyuuga, just as their doesn't have to be for any of the other clans. They were merely stated to be one of the earliest clans in Konoha in pt1, that's pretty much all we know about them and Kishi doesn't need to elaborate further just like he doesn't for the Yamanaka, Nara, etc. I would love to see some development for the Hyuuga in regards to their backstory, but I truly doubt that is happening.

so much bullshit.

So what if there are stronger hyugas then her? I actually doubt there may be, considering she's been trained by Neji, and even her father considered Hinata neji's equal.

She's definitely gonna fight; power up or not, she still has her lion fists to show. And I personally do believe she will get some power up(s).

Byakugan has many things that are an advantage over sharingan.
•Extended Vision
•X-Ray Vision
•Genjutsu Penetration
•Heavenly Spin
•360 Degrees Vision
•Penetrating Vision
•Attack Detection
•Air [wall] palm
•Movement Sensing
•High speed-movement detection
•Twin Lion Fists
•Perfect Chakra Control of all 361 coils
•Gentle Fist
•32/64 Palms
•Controlling Speed via chakra
•Destroying [things made of] Chakra

And in fact, Byakugan is on par with a Mangekyo sharingan. That's why it doesn't get a power up, because it was the sharingan that was lacking to begin with.

Yes there does need to be a connection, the fact that the Byakugan is one of the three great dojutsu is enough to validate it. Yet there are even more reasons I could present

Its happening, its basically confirmed

I agree, kishi should've expanded on their development earlier in shippuden... It'd be weird if all of a sudden they're related to the sage now... But its still possible tho.

It is still possible and I would like to learn more about them. But I just don't see it happening, because Kishimoto didn't give them the development they deserved earlier on and the story is supposed to wrap up this year.

Didn't kishi say he was planning on ending Naruto in 2012/2013? Or even after the pain arc???

Naruto is a cash cow, kishi may as well prolong it for however long he feels like.
