Well... Gai is giving madara's current level a hell of a fight.
Edo madara > sasuke therefore... 8Gates Gai > Sasuke.
8 gates = stronger than the 5 kage.
EMS Sasuke cannot defeat the 5 kage. therefore... (drumroll) Gai wins.

This is what i agree with. Gai is at the top right now but after this he dies. Naruto might be predictable but don't really know how sasuke's story ends yet.

For Sasuke to use that ability (PS) he needs Juugo and Naruto present. Juugo for giving him Curse seal/Sage mode thing, and Naruto Giving him Chakra cloak. That is at this point, not to say he won't be able to do it by himself later on. Unless I'm mistaken.

When did he "Solo" any of whom you listed? I guess maybe VOTE Naruto. Itachi, He died of the disease he had for years, Sasuke barely even touched him sans the shuriken that hit his thigh. The Raikage was owning Sasuke, he used Amaterasu and got his arm but the Raikage severed said arm and continued the battle, Sasuke ended up fleeing. Orochimaru was weak as hell, so it wasn't much of a battle... Gai wouldn't even need to go 8th gate to beat Sasuke imo probably only 7th. You seem to underestimate Gai's Taijutsu ability, i doubt Sasuke could keep up with the speed of the 7th let alone 8th gate.
