Not really. After his mask was broken, Obito did not act like masked man tobi. So that must have been change in characterization. Obito simply lacked the brutality heart of a villain. He was not a villain in fact. More of antagonist.

Of course that. It was like he was just asking to be defeated. As he was playing the part of Madara, he was a complete badass. But after the mask was gone, all he needed was a little encouragement from Naruto and that was a wrap.

That's why i have a problem with his characterization. He doesn't seem to stay as 1 character, but keeps changing into even worse. I liked masked man Tobi, but after the mask, i did not get interested anymore.

Even in his own series Madara isn't anything special.
