If he'd completely tanked it then I'm pretty sure there wouldn't be much damage done to him; he just got slapped around like a tennis ball around a court, and then some. Admittedly he's not dead, but I'm sure that must have brought him closer than he has been in a while.

It's eighth gate, action was assumed to fill up the chapter, but I believed there would be some flashbacks. But still the chapter summed it up.

see, this is what last chap should have been cuz that was awesome. i'm hype for next week's chapter. it seems like naruto is in the bijuu dimension place, he might be meeting the sage.

Finally, the 8 Gates is here! :hooray:


-Glad to see Kishi started this chapter off the right way. 8 Gates, what a move, what power! Gai caused a crater where Madara stood. Looks like even Madara has come to realize his strength but I don't understand what he did before he came back up. Oh and did anyone else think of Sanji's sky walk whenever Gai started kicking off the air? Lol

-Gotta give props to Lee. Not only showing respect instead of sadness for his sensei but then to be ready to step in battle too? Busted out the 6th gate like a damn champ! Looks like Lee's getting some development as a man and some good one too. It was nice to see Minato's analysis. Looks like Kishi's done putting him down for now. Minato took the role as captain like a Hokage should and I liked his dialogue with Lee, seems like Minato would have grown to be an endearing Hokage like Hiruzen was.

-Gai went H.A.M. No other way around it. Can't believe people thought he wasn't gonna give Madara trouble but it looks like Gai did a repeat of what Lee did to Gaara. The teamwork between these 5 were really good. Can't wait to see this get animated, this was one of the best action scenes in the war for me so far. Minato and Lee with impeccable timing, Gaara giving Kakashi and Gai the opportunity for the team up :T_T: It was epic.

-Looks like Naruto's back and he's somewhere with water. Could it be that he's in the place where Kurama used to dwell within him? That would be my first guess.

Overall, a 5 out of 5 chapter. Even though no Sasuke, I have no complaints with this chapter, especially when Maddy got up asking for more. That bloodlust of his is my favorite quality about him but I don't think Gai will be sticking around long. Looks like Chibi was right to correct me in Gai not dying this chapter though Lol

No wasted panels. They focused every single page on the current storyline. I loved it.
Gai pushing Madara to his limits was also pleasing. Lee actually being useful was nice to see as well. I especially enjoyed how calm and collected Lee is when he knows that his sensei is about to die. Props to Lee.
I like the collaboration with everyone and how they used Minato's kunai and Kakahi's Kamui to warp Minato in front of the black orbs allowing Gai to deliver the final blow. Too bad Madara is enjoying himself. Shouldn't be surprised with the God of the shinobi world.

Yes Yes Yes. Very good chapter I was laughing throughout the chapter of the people that did not like the chapter last week and that said Gai would lose right away. Everything was great. But that cliff hanger.

I had a feeling Gai was going to do damage to Madara but it seems he is not going to kill him since Madara wants to dance yet.
NARUTO is coming back heck yeah he is. Can't wait for him to come back and I was thinking if he comes back in time he might be able to save Gai like a lot of people predicted. Maybe yes maybe no.

Next chapter we will probably see a little of Gai and return with Naruto and Sasuke for a bit to.

Holy hell I didn't expect that. O_O Seriously, I'm pretty sure Gai gave Madara a run for his money just there, he even broke through the weird black shield thing which are supposedly near indestructible; last we saw that happen was when both Naruto and Sasuke COMBINED, along with 9 other ninja, broke through Obito's shield. And Gai just burst that thing all on his own. Wow.
