Critical Review:
While this anime veers from the plot of the manga, I still find it to be an incredible anime. One thing that makes this anime exceptional is that it has all of the fun of an action shonen anime, but actually contains dark themes and motifs like those found in mature anime.
The story in this anime starts off fairly quickly and continues to become more exciting and intense. The story gets darker and more mature as it progresses.
This anime contains a variety of colorful characters with well written personalities ans development. The relationship between the characters is very interesting and varying. What is especially well written is the relationship between the two brothers which contains elements of brother/brother rival/rival and teacher/student.
The various villains in this anime are not just generically evil. Like all of the other characters they have their own personalities and development.
The art and animation in this anime are consistently very good.
I won't bother giving a numerical rating which I find shallow and unhelpful. I would definitely recommend this anime to everyone reading this review.
