Do you think that Kishi purposely holds back Hinata so Sakura can be interesting? :dafq: just dumb thought.

Holding Hinata back should not be correlated with Sakura. Instead, it should be viewed as Kishi's own doing... And in my opinion one of his mistakes.

At the start of this series, I'd say you coul label a main character for each team.

Team Kakash: All mains.

Team Kurenai: Hinata

Team Gai: Lee

Team Asuma: Shikamaru

Seeing how Kishi ran into development issues due to his cast role expansion, he honestly should have tried to give the best development out of at least these characters. This isn't to say he should neglect the others, but he should have shown some prominent growth in this ones.

Shikamaru actually got the development he deserved.

However, Lee and Hinata did not. They were portrayed as people who should fail as shinobi. Just like Naruto. Considering the theme of the story was the whole idea of friendship, but also striving to succeed no matter what, he should implement these three to grow into fine shinobi. In terms of development, honestly it is sometimes disheartening to see just how little it seems these two developed.

The concept of hard work basicslly backfired... Where Lee and Hinata did their best... They hardly could be said to have improved. People still argue that Part I Neji beats Hinata... Sadly, we can't even make a grand argument as part I Neji STILL has more feats.

Lee probably has great improvement. Sadly we never were allowed to see it.

Yeah, hopefully, with Neji gone now tho, she can start getting developed; at least, as developed as females can get in this manga

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

I know most people disliked this chapter mainly cause of Flashback, but I really enjoyed this chapter because this strong feeling that really touches my heart. This never often happens in Naruto for a while and now I shed my tears upon seeing Gai going 8th gate about to die seeing the connection with his father giving more in-depths development to these characters.

Now seeing Lee crying having some tough time after losing Neji and now Gai really feels heartbroken this emotion I have that runs through my body.

Still, I can't get over with how Neji died, I'm not pleased with it U_U

Totally. when Minato first mentioned Gai's father, and then we started getting flashbacks, I kinda rolled my eyes; but looking back, it really was a great move on Kishi's part as it certainly helped with increasing the emotional value of the moment.

Truth is, I still want a team gai flashback.

One thing I fear tho, is that Tenten will die too, and Lee will be left all alone, just like Kakashi was.

*sigh* yeah, Neji's death would have been a billion times better if we'd gotten the same treatment; a chapter worth of flashbacks, rather than a mere two-four panels

Me too I want to see more back story like honestly I think Team Gai are the most likable characters I mean when you look at Team Kakashi, they're the most controversial. Team Gai are my favorite squad of Konoha11.

Lee will seriously go snap, like damn, at this rate all the good ones has to die while the most hated characters will live. I think Lee will be stopped by Either Tenten or Gaara.

Imo, Neji deaths doesn't effect me, nor being foreshadowed , he was just simply being thrown.

Which is why I'm currently waiting for the Anime hopefully Neji Deaths is properly executed by adding some filler padding throughout the Juubi arc hopefully we get to see him going all out against the Juubi, countering Wooden spear with Jyuuken or Heavenly rotation similar fight with Kidomaru, I want to see full action pack.

Also give more backstory will be great as well.

I personally didn't like how they started from being just like Bruce Lee and his master.
I'm also a bit worried that maybe Kishi is dealing with team Gai since they are to OP and they are more stable than team Kakashi.
Lee and Tenten are next. :rage:

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

I don't see why lee would die with gai now dead; similar to how Hinata dying wouldnt make sense now that Neji is dead.

Lee and Hinata are basically weaker versions of gai and Neji, in a sense. So it would makee sense for them to get killed off, so that lee and Hinata can have development.

Tenten however, I can see her dying, since it was foreshadowed back when she was using the sages banana fan... And that would leave lee all alone

The worst part is, at this point team gai, Kakashi, and asuma have all had turmoil in their teams (asuma and Neji dying, and sasuke going apeshit) yet team kurenai is the only one who hasn't bad this sort of turmoil, but then again i guess that should be expected from a team whose leader us a woman -_-"

I really believe Kishi no longer has any attachment to team Gai.
I think team Kurenai is pretty safe though since they are smart and not as strong as team Gai.
But just wait, I still think Hinata will seal some sharingan.:snick:

I don't see Kishi killing off any more Team Gai character, I mean now I could see Lee and Tenten pairing. Kishi is going to redeem a neglected character giving a role to put up a fight with Madara or that her attempt to seal madara failed

team kurenai is safe due to all of them aside from Hinata being irrelevant; and Hinata is protected by Neji 's sacrifice plot armor.
Now that you mention it, it may be that sasuke after the war has his sharingan sealed away by the hyuga so he won't feel hatred anymore

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

Does the Hyuga air palm technique use wind release chakra or is it just regular chakra.
Also is it more of a ninjutsu or a taijutsu technique.
I think it is sorta all of the above but mostly taijutsu.

Re: Strongest of the Hidden Leaf: The Hyuga Clan FC

No, air palm isn't a wind release jutsu. Its merely compressed chakra being shot out of the palms. Its actually a sort of miniture version of heavenly spin, except its not all over the body, and only at the hands.

Its classified as taijutsu kekkai genkai
