Except Naruto and Sasuke were never equal (maybe once), they were on or near the same level but wasn't equal. In the beginning of Naruto, Sasuke was clearly stronger (from chapter 1 to beginning of chunin exam), then Naruto got stronger than Sasuke (After Jiraiya's training), Sasuke got powerup from that pill that boosted his base stats and gave him CM lvl 2 but Naruto wasn't fighting to kill as he clearly said and he didn't even use Gama). The Sasuke's base was stronger than Naruto's base (not 4 tails) in shippuden when they first met. Then Naruto (SM-non-fuse with Ma and Pa) was said to be stronger Sasuke (MS-pre-Susanoo). Then Narutogot KM/BM/BSM which all have more power than EMS Sasuke. Sasuke was on Naruto's level but not as powerful. They both have stats higher than each other like their fighting style, strategy and such but it still falls in Naruto's favor overall.
Naruto is compared to Hashirama (by Tobirama 2-3x during the war, Obito during the kage summit, and Hashirama praising Naruto for giving everyone hope). Sasuke have been compared to Madara (by Kurama when they chatted and Tobirama/Orochimaru both did so as well). Alive Hashirama is Stronger than EMS Madara, heck, Hashirama had Bijuus 2-8 at the time and didn't need them to beat Madara+Kurama and then even gained Kurama after that fight and all the Bijuus believe in Naruto and gave him their chakra). Naruto is also compared to the Sage by Kurama like 3x and by Bijuus 2-7 when they all talked to Naruto when he was fighting Obito.
Quite a lot of people like Obito to my knowledge, they're just quiet. >___>
That really shouldn't make Naruto So6P though. If it does, Sasuke should receive a similar power. I wouldn't consider Naruto's ideals as fairy tail-ish though.
I think Naruto will get the Sage's body and the chakra that goes with it while Sasuke gets the Sage's eyes. Kishi implies that Naruto will be the stronger ninja when he have ppl like Tobirama and Obito comparing him to Hashirama over and over, and the Bijuus comparing him to the Sage while Sasuke is compared to EMS Madara.
I agree his points, naruto should become the sage of the six paths after or during the last fight between sasuke and naruto.

I think Naruto will get the Sage's body and the chakra that goes with it while Sasuke gets the Sage's eyes. Sasuke have the needed ingredients now, Kabuto had some of Karin's DNA, a Uzumaki which is from Senju lineage, and looked like he was pumping flesh onto Sasuke

. He has some of Hashirama's chakra and jutsu he gave him and we don't know if the flesh Juugo gave him will have any affect with the Senju that's in Kabuto who is connected to Sasuke.
