I've never really received the 'team' vibe from Team 7

I've been reading/watching Naruto for quite a few years now and I've only realised this even they were reunited back in chaoter 631. Their interactions seem forced really. It was quite a few chapters ago in which Sasuke said that he will be the one to eliminate the past by killing Naruto, but where's that intent gone?

They worked as a perfect team against Obito (with combinations which they haven't even practised which I call BS but that's another story) and I didn't feel any feelings of Sasuke wanting to get rid of anything in that chapter.

I mainly seem to be complaining about Sasuke so I will move on to the main topic of this thread, why I don't feel the vibe of a team from them.

Firstly it's the fact that they parallel SO many people. Naruto is Jiraiya from the Sannin, Obito, Yahiko etc, Sasuke is Orochimaru, Kakashi, Nagato and Sakura is Tsunade, Rin, Konan.... I've honestly lost count. All of these teams have separated (or been killed in the Ame Orphans case) due to their differences. I just don't believe that these three are supposed to be some picture perfect team that will go through all the same things they did and still come out even more than sane.

Next is their interactions. The Haku and Zabuza arc aside, was there really much? Naruto says that he wants to restore the team where they will all laugh together again. But really I can't remember such a moment like that back in Part 1. It was mainly Naruto and Sasuke at each others throats, whilst ignoring Sakura and Kakashi didn't really do anything. They're being portrayed as some tightly bonded family when really they haven't ever been close to that.

Does anybody feel similarly to this?

Well, in their fight against Gaara, Sasuke and Naruto risked their lives to save Sakura, Sasuke also stated that he never wanted to sit and watch as the people he cared about were killed right in front of him. So Sasuke did care about them. Only thing is, Sasuke was troubled, Naruto was a punk, and Sakura was fixiated on Sasuke. Off panel, they hung out alot.

They were really well developed in part 1 though. Naruto and Sasuke may have hated each other but they always had each others back when it counted.

And Naruto and Sasuke working perfectly together isn't really that random. They've been like that since the very first arc.

They had brief moments where it seemed they really were a team, but Sasuke and Naruto were more rivals than anything else. Sasuke being the arrogant one and Naruto being the one no one took seriously. When they called each other best friends I thought it was a huge stretch.

Still, the teamwork between the two I don't agree with. I think that's a credit to Naruto since he did the same thing with Sakura after being a part for so long.

They all had a pretty close relationship before that.


But if you want to talk about the best teams or close relationships of friendship/brotherhood. Then these guys literally sh*t on everyone else.
