Let's be honest; Wave hates Night Raid too. Like, really hates them. He's not going to join them so easily. Nor will Kurome blindly follow this guy when she didn't when her sister left.
I feel like Ran has some kind off connection, emotionally, to his comrades. I don't think he'll betray them. Only Esdeath, when the time is right,
Esdeath isn't leaving the Empire. I only see a small internal conflict brewing that will explode out later.

1. Just came into the city from distant lands. How the hell can he possibly know anything about what they can do? He doesn't.
2. Is the leader of the team he's hyping. What do you expect him to say? My team sucks balls? That's not good for moral so of course he's gonna say they're awesome.
3. We haven't even seen them do anything but against fodders. We've seen the jaegers put up a fight against the best group of assassins in the empire and almost win.
I'm not saying they're weak but you're over hyping them like you do to everything. After seeing the jaegers, and not even knowing what ran or wave can really do it's silly to believe any kind of hype from a guy who:

You guys are comparing their strength to fodders though..since those are all they have fought.

Nope. Quite the opposite. I'm giving them credit they deserve by saying that they are at least on par with a full powered Jaegers while you guys excluding some are stating that they are some kind of weak push-overs that can get wiped out by either the Jaegers or Night Raid alone.
Point 1 and 2: Despite that, the mangaka didn't show the best way of Shura hyping his team, but the message is clear. It's clear that the mangaka wanted us to know that they are at least on par with them. It may have been Shura who stated that even though he also stated that he can prove it, ultimately those were the managaka's words.
Point 3: Exactly my point. You guys are already judging their whole ability based on the performance they had in terrorizing some civillians. It's quite clear that what they shown against those fodders isn't even close to half of their power so judging them by that and saying that they are weak is a wrong way to do it.
Fact is they have world-class talent and have been hyped to be a bit stronger than the Jaegers and much stronger than the Rakshasa Demons. It's quite clear that that they cannot by defeated by Night Raid or the Jaegers alone - a full-powered Night Raid or the Jaegers could have possibly do it, but in their current status? Not a chance. Not when the spoiler page we got already showed the Jaegers and Night Raid teaming up against them.

Exactly my point. You guys are using their performance in effortlessly wipping out some fodders to state that they don't seem strong and that the current Jaegers/Night Raid is stronger than them.

Secondly wave has yet to go all out yet, but when he even tried too he was manhandling Mein,Rabac, and Akame. We've seen what Incrusio can do from Bradt when he was fighting a high level opponent and his armor was tanking most of the hits. It was also said that Wave's Grand Chariot Incrusio was the strongest version of Incrusio, so none of them are damaging an armor that is stronger then an armor that was said to be near impossible to break.
We also know that Ran has a trump card. It's obvious and was said many times, we also know that he wants to go after esdeath. So you're saying a guy that has a trump card with the possibility of killing esdeath can't take on a clown guy with super strength, or a girl who manipulates sound.
Plus as you said, they'll be joining up with night raid for this fight. That's gonna be overkill. They'll just end up being Kurome dolls by the end.
If anything I think this general guy will interfere and help WH out at some point, but that's just speculation.

Simple as this @Fidds @AC .................Shura believes in his team & hypes them ...but thy haven't shown enough feats to really judge their power , same with Wave .....he hasn't gone all out & I think we all know there's more to him , just like Naruto ...let's just wait for the feats to fully judge them.

I never said he did.. I said he defeated 2 of them ._. Though they did gang up on him initially he still held his own.. still he was able to defeat both in quick succession so its still impressive. Actually I'm not so sure it was a mid diff fight.. just reread it again and she defeated him rather quickly. Okay cool I'm sure Night raid is much stronger than the four demons as well as a whole. Yeah she survived I never said she died.. doesn't change anything since Tatsumi defeated her either way rather quickly. Does Shura even know what the jaegers were capable of? Stylish and Kurome themselves gave Night Raid as a whole a tough fight... add in Esdeath and the others I just don't see it.
