The Series is better off without Obito

Tobi is Obito. Tobi is an incredible character and an exceptional villain, easily the best or second best. Yes, Obito became... Less, when the mask fell off, but to say that the series would be better without him altogether is laughable. And the last chapter made him look awesome.

This character is full of inconsistencies that disrupting the plot it would been period without him
It's true, he is whining, he kept calling kakashi trash all because " You let Rin Die" and all he does is moaning while thinking about Rin.
It doesn't matter, it could've been someone else who's responsible for the creation of Naruto, like what if Pain is the final villain, that also could work it out, but Madara at this point makes the whole war interesting , he's the true savior!

1. Obito is not a justified villain.
2. I wouldn't say that he shouldn't have ever been in the manga at all, just not have as much screen time.

Coulda, woulda, shoulda-stop whining. Obito has been the main protagonist since Minato's and Kushina's sacrifice to save Naruto. He was a young boy who was nearly crushed to death, gave his eye to the friend he trusted to take care of the girl he loved, only to end up seeing that friend kill the girl and the sensei he believed in no where around to prevent any of it. That could push anyone over the deep end especially if they fall into the hands of someone who was as warped as Madara.
He knew Rinn cared about Kakashi, but like most teenage boys he probably thought with time he could change that. He wasn't a pedo. She was more than just someone he cared about. He had no family and she was the only person who truly believed in him. She would call him on his lies and expect him to do better. She knew and believed in his dream to become Hokage. She was his reason to be better and do better. He lost all that was important to him in a very short time and had nothing but the ravings of an old sick Madara to listen to for years while he was healing.
His ravings as you call them, to Naruto, was because he saw himself in Naruto. He saw the person he could have been and was fascinated by it. Naruto didn't just TNJ Obito he also showed him the way through his actions. Now Obito is going to take action to weaken Madara so the alliance can defeat him. He's redeeming himself so he can die with some of the honor he lost. Possibly he'll save Naruto too before he dies.
The story would not have been as good without Obito.

Obito only lost 1 person, but he still have Kakashi, or Minato, or people in the village. Kakashi just simply lost everyone and he endured it compared to Obito he's just laughable
Obito is one of the most intrigued, if not the most intrigued characters of Narutoverse. If you don't like him that's up to you but don't expect everyone to agree with you. His personlaty is very complicated and he had his ups and downs, and that's why he's so interested. You may find his motives superficial but that's only because you can't appreciate the depth of his personality. You may believe that Obito did all that because of Rin but that's utterly ridiculous. What Rin's death showed to Obito, is how hard the real world can be. Just consider that he was the one who got sacrificed in the first place to save Kakashi in order for the latter to be Rin's gurdian yet he saw him piercing her through her heart (even if Rin chose it). It's not just because of a stupid old crash that turned Obito into a phycho. It's the very fact that Rin represents the perfection, the purity, someone who has done nothing wrong and yet she died in such a young age. It has nothing to do with being friendzoned and BS like that. This is just for the ignorant idiots who can't appreciate the depth of such a character.
