Actually, Gaara fainted after the first Chidori so had things continued, he could have been dead.

It was only thanks to the rest he had as Kankuro and Temari carried him away that he returned.

still nothing...sasuke put fear in gaara that made him curl up in a sand ball because he couldnt defend himself, gaara wasnt scared of lee's skill and ended up damn near killing lee hand not guy came in and protected him, lee wouldnt even exist anymore

On the exam stage he stood a chance because of the surprise factor, but Gara's tailed beast abilities would have awoken and we saw what happened when Sasuke tried to fight Garra in that state.

Gaara is one of my favorite characters, but he had his ass saved multiple times. Temari and Kankuro saved him from Sasuke, and then from Naruto.

He would have defeated Sasuke at the chuunin exams, Sasukes only hit barely injured him, and Sasuke only had one Chidori left, and the speed of his attacks were failing.

All Gaara had to do was sit in that sand bubble and attack Sasuke, it would have been over quick

He didnt know what was in Gaara. After nearly getting his arm crushed, and chakra consumption, he would have been careful on what to do next in which then Gaara would have began using his BM powers and we all know what happened in the forest.

Most likely the match would have been stopped if ppl saw him go BM. But when Gaara did go BM, well...Sasuke didnt stand a chance.

Le Sauce can use Chidori twice under normal circumstances and just about squeeze a third with CS1.

If u didnt realize, Gaara was kind of a psycho back then, balling up and crying dosen't change the fact that Gaara defeated Sasuke pretty easily.

Sasuke didnt know that to do..he wouldnt be dumb enough to rush with chidori after almost having his arm crushed, he would sit and wait to see what Gaara would do next, which is go BM and kill Sasuke. Unless the match is stopped.

Gaara would have won, and he did win. Thanks to Naruto, Sasuke wasnt killed.
