He can't avoid it. Because Itachi is a genjutsu master, who doesn't need to only rely on his ocular abilities.The point of Naruto and Itachi's second encounter was to prove that. After the first, naruto thought not looking at his fingers and not making eye contact was enough to avoid being caught. To which he was proven wrong
Yes, I've read through your initial post and the argument is convincing but one question still lies, when and how was the genjutsu performed? As you pointed out, once genjutsu was released, we see exactly where Naruto was positioned. Both he and Itachi were not in the same postions where they initially started the conversation. There is no distinct scan the signals how the transition happened and to the point genjutsu was used. After viewing that chapter and Naruto's ending postion, he very well could have been put in genjutsu the moment he acknowledged someone who he presumed to be Sasuke. (Ch. 365 pg 16 to be exact). There we see Naruto land, in a similar setting to where you pointed the genjutsu ended. Now, while Naruto looked briefly to see who was amongst the shadows, Itachi knew very well who it was and in saying that placed him in genjutsu instantly knowing Naruto would charge him rather than talk.
If that's when Naurto was indeed put into genjutsu, Minato could very well avoid that DEPENDING on how the fight positions start off.
If he is so bad ass why did he need obitos help taking down the uchiha? why didnt he kill madera to protect his brother instead of implanting a ***** trap in saskes eye? Why didnt he kill danzo? why did need to join akatski to protect the leaf instead of just killing them? Sauske is stronger than him and he couldnt even kill the raikage or a single one of his 2 bodyguards.

I've already went over the scans hundreds of times to make sure. Naruto couldn't have been put in a genjutsu when he first landed, as his original spot was hiding behind a tree. After Itachi tells him to come out, they start to talk for a bit and then naruto charges. When the genjutsu ends, naruto is collapsed at the position where they began having the Conversation. Meaning standing infront of Itachi is all it would take, As there were no visible handseals. Though I stated that Itachi could very well be using handseals in his akatsuki coat, considering the way he wears it, with his arms inside.It's ridiculous to assume the two ninjas wouldn't face each other if a battle ever commenced between them. Minato doesn't even know who Itachi is, and until he pull out sharingan, doesn't even know he's an uchiha..

ahahahaha how about whats wrong with your post, hes a smart ninja he's not going to fight them all at once, and i never said that he would. yeah i think he is since itachi was dying an illness the time of the manga/anime. most of what is said on here supporting itachi's genjutsu is based on his fight with naruto as a child! unlike naruto the 4th lived when Uchiha were still around the leaf, im guessing he knew how they fought better than naruto did. Isn't Saske called the second coming of madara? he has all the same powers as itachi doesnt he.

all ive seen is the ridiculous claim that the 4th cant win is that he has no intel on how uchiha fighting techniques and that cant counter his genjutsu. Bogard showed why that doesnt work on the 4th. if uchiha genjutsu is so strong how did the 4th beat obito? Are you implying obito's Mangekyō Sharingan cant use genjutsu?

Owaji the position in which Naruto lands exactly the same postion where genjutsu ends (or atleast similar). Naruto hid behind the tree that stationed next to where he initially landed. In the intial landing, Itachi was infront of him, but from a side view of Itachi. In the next scan Itachi fully walks out and as you see looks to his side to address Naruto. Naruto remained in the same area where he initially landed.
Naruto collapsed to what seems to be where he walked to converse with Itachi, but that it's the same exact position where he landed. I highly doubt he performed hands seals in his cloak, him casting genjutsu from the very beginning is more logical and fits Itachi's style.
It matters because it pinpoints how this genjutsu was casted and the possibilities to avoiding it. I'm literally looking at the scans as i type this on my phone.

You completely ignored the scan in which he lands! That's what being discussed. Him hiding behind the tree occurs after his initial landing. Post the full scan, crop outs can be easily misinterpreted

I already told you. Naruto didn't even glipse a sharingan until he was already hiding behind the tree. To which he then started looking at his feet.. He simply saw a black figure in the bushes. So that goes right out the window
he has a Mangekyō Sharingan so he can use it(as you admitted when saying "using Genjutsu on Kurama") end of discussion. Or are you making up the fact that Obito is the only uchiha with Mangekyō Sharingan who cant use it?
@Owarij i already told you that i don't believe in the genjutsu without eye contact you're talking about. If he really was capable to do such a genjutsu, he would have used it against Kabuto.

The truth is that eye contact is still needed, but the eye contact is between the Sharingan Itachi prepares on the crow and the eye of the target. I will try to explain it carefully in detail as much as i can.

Notice the red part i circled. It's to show the Sharingan eye of the crow. Kishi purposely draw that to show us that it's that Sharingan eye which was used to put Naruto in the genjutsu. Now you may ask where does this Sharingan eye come from? Simple. It was Shisui's eye that Itachi implanted in the crow in question:

If you look closely at the yellow circle i draw, it represents the crow in question you see on the pic after. The exclamation mark i draw(orange part) is to show that Naruto did notice it at the last second, but it was already too late and it's at that moment where he made eye contact and was caught by the genjutsu
Now you do have a point we don't see the feathers after genjutsu, but it doesn't always happen when crow fly
