Why wasn't Hiruzen revived in his prime?

Well since their souls were removed from the death god, then it is plausible that it is because that was the condition Hiruzen was put into the death god. Hashi and Tobi were revived in their true prime because they were conventionally revived using edo tensei and then placed in the belly of the death god.

Minato and Hiruzen are different because they both sealed themselves into the belly of the death god, THEN were revived as edos. Therefore, both are not in their conventional primes but rather as they were when they were taken into the belly of the death god.

Edit for clarity: edo revives shinobi at their prime ( Nagato, Madara, Hashirama, all shinobi who died and came back without deficincies that they had at their death )

edo removed from death god revives shinobi the way they were when sealed into death god ( hiruzen is old, and minato has kurama chakra)

OT: its pretty simple edo tensei revives them in the state they died in notice nagato had white hair due to what happen in konoha. Disease doesn't affect edos hence why itachi didn't have any drawbacks.
Madara is a special case since kabuto had time to modify his body.

It revives people, the way they were before they died, and it also revives them whole (no missing body parts), madara was stated to be an altered version.

Deidara was blown to pieces when he died, yet he still had a body as an edo. Sasori didn't have any puppets as an edo.
Minato had the hole in his stomach sort of like as a result of his death jutsu , but maybe because of kurama's claw.

This is what happened. Hashirama & Tobirama were revived almost at full strength , but not quite at full strength and without all of their jutsu. However, Minato and Hiruzen were both upgraded beyond their primes. Hiruzen could only create two clones previously , but this Edo Hiruzen could create 3. No ones ages changed except Madara's.

Prime is supposed to be when they are somewhat at their strongest. Hiruzen learned the RDS at an old age thanks to Minato. RDS is pretty OP once you use it . Its the most powerful jutsu Hiruzen has probably if not one of the most powerful jutsus.

Good analysis, but why weren't Tobirama and Hashirama revived by Oro at 20% power? Thats how they were sealed in the death god.

They were sealed as Edo's.
Edo tensei looks at how you were before you died (as in when you still had your real body).
Oro with Hashirama's DNA, was able to let Hashirama and Tobirama, use almost their full power,
when they were revived the second time.
