Sure would have helped, if he was the god of shinobi.

Minato was revived in prime, no giant hole in his stomach and he had BM.

So why 72 year old Hiruzen?

It revives people, the way they were before they died, and it also revives them whole (no missing body parts), madara was stated to be an altered version.

Minato died with no spine, and a missing chest/heart/abdomen, Madara was 110+ years old, Itachi was crippled and blind from sickness

So no, they are not way they were at death

Well since their souls were removed from the death god, then it is plausible that it is because that was the condition Hiruzen was put into the death god. Hashi and Tobi were revived in their true prime because they were conventionally revived using edo tensei and then placed in the belly of the death god.

Minato and Hiruzen are different because they both sealed themselves into the belly of the death god, THEN were revived as edos. Therefore, both are not in their conventional primes but rather as they were when they were taken into the belly of the death god.

Edit for clarity: edo revives shinobi at their prime ( Nagato, Madara, Hashirama, all shinobi who died and came back without deficincies that they had at their death )

edo removed from death god revives shinobi the way they were when sealed into death god ( hiruzen is old, and minato has kurama chakra)

Because he was sealed in the Reaper Death Seal, there was no time to modify his body.

They were revived the way they were at death; but with all those wounds healed. Therefor is wounds were inflicted before the day of their death, that's why they remain. Hence why we see the lightning wound on the Third Raikage.

Third Beastkage already had that wound. He died against a thousand shinobi, most likely slaughtered to death

It would be because prime Hiruzen is too much for Kishi to handle. #NoRegrets

Itachi was a conventional edo meaning he was revived in prime. Madara and Hashi and Nagato are also examples of conventional edos being revived without deficiencies.

Hiruzen is unconventional because he was pulled from death god's belly.

Again, where is Minatos giant stomach wound and missing spine then?

And Kabuto revived Madara beyond his prime.
u might be onto something but at the same time no kabuto did tons of work on madara body to revive in prime the hole could have just been closed and healed but medic ninjustu or edo tensi auto closed it
