Nariko : What's your name ?
Maya : ...Maya...
Nariko : I'm Nariko , nice to meet you.
Maya was shocked , but she moved her lips and smiled saying
Maya : =] Thank you...
Nariko squatted down near and placed her hand over Maya's head saying
Nariko : I should thank you for this smile now...
Then suddenly ,Nariko turned around and jumped out of the tunnel from the hole in the ceiling. While Maya shouted
Maya : Wait !!!
After Nariko ran away Maya heard familiar voices of her family in the end of the tunnel. Her father and uncle ran near her with mother shouting.
Aiko : Maya !!! What do you think you are doing walking alone ?! How many times I have told you to-
Maya : Nice girl saved me from plants...
Father asks her surprised
Hiroshi : What girl ?
Maya : She said her name, Nariko...
Hiroshi asks his brother
Hiroshi : Nariko ? Is that- ?
Kazuki : Yeah , I believe so...
Hiroshi : I can't believe she's still here.
Mother picks Maya from the floor and says
Aiko : ...lets go, it's not safe to be here.
Maya shouts all of a sudden
Maya : What about Nariko !!?? She's outside !!!
Hiroshi looks up into the sun
Hiroshi : Don't worry about her, I'm sure she knows how to take care of herself. We are lucky she's not chasing us.
Maya listened to what her father said and smiled whispering
Maya : ...good luck...
Maya : ...Maya...
Nariko : I'm Nariko , nice to meet you.

Meanwhile Nariko walks away thinking in the desert-like field with few sky-scrapers sticked out of it and few smaller buildings
As I heard... back then. Everyone enjoyed their life's, not even imaging what will happen next. When it happened... people continued living, but it was way too different. Many drowned in the chaos. Those who left , taught their kids how to survive. Still they fear to go outside , to unknown places. They say... death is coming for us , not we. The day our world changed was called "End".
Nariko picks up a small crumbled paper sheet from her hidden pocket. It's written "Dusty flower* on it.
Nariko : ...it's time to leave this place
In few minutes she reaches the area with sky-scrapers and enters one of them through the window. She slowly walks up by stairs and suddenly stops listening. She turns around and jumps of the stairs landing one floor above. Clanking sound appears from above the floor.At the time in third floor two mans are running , one is holding a black bag and other is holding a gun while running behind. Man with a gun shouts and starts shooting around
Daru :
...crap ! It's here !
Other thief stops and says
Ryu : Stop shooting and lets-
All of a sudden katana appears near Daru?s neck, Nariko is behind him in the shadow
Nariko : Drop the bag...
Ryu drops the bag instantly
Nariko : You... Drop the gun or I kill your friend...
Ryu is sweating, while Daru is still holding his finger on the trigger, his arm starts to shake
Daru : Tch...
Nariko : ...idiot
Nariko drops her katana on the ground and jumps away in the right from Ryu while Daru shoots at them. Ryu receives five bullets in his chest and falls dead , Nariko runs in the right and throws three small knifes at Daru, while he shoots few times. Nariko tumbles on the floor and Daru drops the gun. Hand's palm with he was holding a gun is pierced right through with a small knife.
Daru : Argghh...
Daru looks at Nariko on the floor and whispers shocked
Daru : ..you...you are ... the girl ?
Nariko stands up, her left leg is scratched by a bullet.
Nariko : Surprised ?
Daru quickly pulls away the knife from his bleeding palm and attacks her. When he runs close enough she hits over his hand and knocks the knife away while turning him around and locking his hands so he couldn't move
Daru : Tch... and what you gonna do ?
Nariko : You tried to steal my bag, you killed your partner in order to hit me, and still you tried to put me dead... Don't you fear death, like others ?
Daru : Why should I fear ?!! We will die sooner or later
Nariko : ..so, it's perfectly fine if I just kill you right now...
Nariko grabs two Daru's fingers and brakes them. Daru screams from pain and starts to laugh
Daru : Aaaahhh !!! ?kch?kch
While Daru laughs Nariko lets him go and walks away picking her katana .
Nariko : Better get going if you wanna live
Daru continues laughing and says
Daru : You fear other people... do you ?
Nariko grabs her katana tight and throws it at Daru piercing his chest. Daru falls on his knees shocked while Nariko comes closer saying
Nariko : ?I fear nothing?
Radio connection sound appears in her left ear. While she answers to someone
Nariko : Yes... he's dead
She pulls her katana out of his chest, takes her bag and walks away down the stairs , while Daru falls dead on the floor...and green plants starts growing covering the walls and wrapping both bodies
In a minute Nariko jumps out of the window on the desert and starts walking to the south. But then she notices something
Nariko : ( inner though ) : Living sand ?
Part of desert sand starts to gather in one spot and sucks everything around it, Nariko is trapped as well.
Nariko : ...it's time to leave this place
In few minutes she reaches the area with sky-scrapers and enters one of them through the window. She slowly walks up by stairs and suddenly stops listening. She turns around and jumps of the stairs landing one floor above.
