Hi, guys. I will discuss a bit about a statement made so many times here in NB: "Minato's FTG is faster"

I guess this started because of this scan:

In here tobirama says: Fourth, your shunshin is better than mine

"Your SHUNSHIN"

Tobirama is talking about the shunshin no jutsu, also known as the body flicker technique, or teleportation jutsu.

This justu is just high speed movement, not a space time ninjutsu.

As you can see, that's what tobirama is talking about, shunshin, not FTG. FTG is also known as hiraishin no jutsu. They're different techniques.

Now, we can also apply a bit of logic here, pay attention: Minato arrived in the battelfield first, and place the kunais in the right position, teleported the bijuu dama, and sent a kunai close to naruto. Some might even say thay minato arrived at the battlefield through FTG by hachibi's tail. However, he should have arrived close to bee, and he didn't:

So, minato is not seen close to bee at any time. So he arrived through shunshin, most likely.

As for tobirama, he didn't have a mark anywhere in the battlefield. So there was no way he could've used FTG to arrived there.

And now, for the final part: FTG itself. FTG is a space time ninjutsu. It warps space-time in order to make one point extremelly close to another point. It works like worm-hole. So basically, the user has to release the amount of chakra needed to activate the jutsu, and the jutsu "opens" the worm-hole. This is the time it takes, and as this time is ridiculously small, it's considerd "instant".

Both minato's and tobirama's FTG works like that. The time that would take to open a worm-hole is the same, given the 2 same points for both minato and tobirama. They are the same technique, and works in the same way. Opening a worm hole would take the same amount of time. And if there is a difference between the chakra release, it's even smaller than the time to release the chakra. So it won't make a difference for us, readers.

That's why the jutsu is considered "instantaneous". Basically, there wouldn't be a "more instant" or "less instant".

This is it, I hope I made it clear. Keep your fanboyism to yourself, don't use "manga fact" if you don't know the meaning of the word fact, and read everything. Thanks for the attention

If the jutsu really was instant, why didn't Tobirama use clones when he was using mutual transfer technique with Minato, and said that with clones it's slower? I don't think it's instant actually, probably a hyperbole.

Minato has far better reflexes than Tobirama[going by feats], that gives an impression that Minato could have escaped that ownage Madara gave to Tobirama...
Combined with his high reflexes and very frequent and fluent usage of FTG, at least IMO Minato is a better FTG'er...

Another thing is, the execution time of FTG, i.e. how long would it take for FTG to start the transportation[that's instantaneous] once the user have initiated the jutsu...

Because there is no such thing as instant. The jutsu simply takes a time too small to be considered.

As for the clones, correct me with I'm mistaken, but wasn't that a misstranslation? I mean, I remember someone posting a translation like this: "Using FTG with clones won't work".
Besides, wasn't minato about to use a combo with a clone using FTG, and didn't he "instantly" sent a clone to obito?

Tobirama has quite good reflexes it was a thread on this before. Also minato would've gotten owned the same rinbo hengoku soloes.

That's the time it takes to "open" a worm-hole. This time is ridiculously small, and so, it's called instantaneous, because nobody, at least in NV, can notice that amount of time.

As for the reaction speed, you are correct. However, that wouldn't related to FTG, but it would be related to the atack or movement AFTER the FTG. So, as base minato is faster, and has better reactions, he could indeed use FTG atacks better than tobirama. But the FTG itself is not faster, and that's my point.

RS-Obito blitzed Senju bros... Hashi was a clone but Tobi wasn't and didn't jumped either, that wasn't intentionally but he used that instance for his multiplying exploding tag jutsu...

RS-Obito[with that anti-ninjutsu stuff] also tried to blitz Minato, but Minato managed it out of there at expense of his arm...

Had it been the same attack while blitzing Senjus, Tobirama was dead already even with his FTG...

Transportation speed is same and should be same because it's instantaneous...
But the initialization time might differ for both and Minato's seems to be better because he can jump to the moving objects just like they are holding still there...

Consider a time machine, one can create the portal right after it's turned ON, but one take few seconds, gathering sparks, visible forming of the portal etc... First one is better because even when both machines are turned on at the same time and their throwing speed is same, 1st will be faster because it'll make the jump faster...

Hope, it explains...

Anyway it's nothing to get pumped up for...
