We all hate fillers, and whenever one appears we always brush it off as non-cannon. Well, my question is; if this filler actually has something to do with the plot, and informs us on something we didn't know; would is be pseudo-cannon, fully cannon, or just straight up filler?

which filler buddy ? you mean the new Kakashi arc ?
Nah, for like example the episode where is shows Orochimaru was the one, that was behind the Gyuuki rampage; or like when it showed how Sasori took over a nation. Fillers like those that have something to do with the plot.

I would count the Sasori one , since it was mentioned in the manga & if the filler showed us how he took over the nation , then why not ? .......I don't remember the Oro one , but if something was mention in the manga , I guess so.

I'm not talking about that certain episode, just like informative fillers in general.

i heard that sometimes the directors of anime make an appointment with the Mangaka=kishimoto

here is the

Edit-info

Series Director
The series director is responsible for the overall look and feel of the series and oversees almost every aspect of the production process. Almost everything must meet their approval before moving forward. They are also responsible for creating storyboards, which are sequential drawings detailing the major scenes of the series, essentially a visual script. These storyboards include information about dialogue, music, camera work, and serve as a basis for the animators to create their layouts and key drawings.

Series Composition
The series organiser is the person who determines the overall plot of the series. They will typically acquaint themselves with the story material by reading the manga. Many meetings are held with the director, mangaka, and other relevant personnel of the source material to chart the direction and feel they would like the anime to take. Following this, they will draft an overview plot of the series, broken down into episodes. When the overall series plot is finalised, the series organiser tasks the scenario writers, which often includes themselves as well, with writing scripts for each episode. As the manga progresses, the series organiser oversees the creation of filler stories to ensure that the mangaka has plenty of time to develop more original material, which will later be incorporated into the anime.

Character Design
The character designer is responsible for creating detailed character, set, and item designs. The designs must be very specific and detailed, including facial expressions, colours, and clothing, to ensure that the animators know exactly how a certain character or item should be drawn. The chief designer will create or update "design packs" and distribute them to all of the animators. This also helps the animation supervisor, as the animation is more likely to be uniform, making their jobs a little easier.

Art Director
The art director creates "art boards" with illustrations of the major points and locations in the script, defining the setting, colours, and other various details on how a scene should look on screen. They also create detailed "model packs" for the background artists and key animators to work from. The background artists also receive "art boards" from the art director, which contain rough background sketches detailing how the backgrounds should look.

You mean like how itachi told the story of Izanagi and Igamani's orgins? Fillers like that? I guess it could be consider cannon of sorts. As long as it doesn't contridict what the manga says....

Well, it 'fills' the story/character development (somethimes neither lel) but it doesn't affect the main story.
I'd say its a matter of personal opinion. In the end you decide whether you want to count a filler as part of the story or just ignore it.
I personally prefer not to consider fillers canon because i read the manga and like the original story developed by the author.
Even if Kishi is behind some fillers i like to keep it simple and stick to the manga.
So, pseudo-canon for me.

Well, sometimes fillers contradict the manga, even if it is in subtle ways it still bothers me. So I consider them all pseudo-canon, even when I find myself liking them/agreeing with them/thinking they make sense. It would be unfair to consider some of them canon and some pseudo-canon, right?
