Rinnegan is not in Sasuke's future

Let's clear this up and explain what the Rinnegan, and what the eternal eyes is. The Rinnegan is a representation of two powers in one person. In other words, the Rinnegan is the opposite of what Hagoromo intended.

Stability is found when two opposing forces work together, not when they are in a single entity. Madara wants to be the perfect being. But comrades are important. Friends are important.

When Hagoromo chose one son's ideal over the other, his dream of world peace was never achieved, because the two opposing forces could not work together.

Sasuke is Naruto's opposite, and the story dictates only by working together can the two reach their goals.


Therefore, Rinnegan is not in Sasuke's future. He would just be another Orochimaru, Kabuto, Danzo, Madara etc who believe they can control everything. He does not need the Rinnegan to fight Madara. The story has already dictated that Sage power is important, and will play a part in Sasuke's progress.

The eternal mangekyo Sharingan is not "just" a Mangekyo Sharingan that does not go blind. It's a distinctly new ocular jutsu, whose power ceiling was never established. What we do know from Itachi, is that Madara had not reached this power.

"And that wasn't the only change caused. A characteristic new dōjutsu was born in those eyes." (「そしてそればかりか変化を起こした。特有の新しい瞳術がその眼に生まれたのだ」, "Soshite sore bakari ka henka o okoshita. Tokuyū no atarashii dōjutsu ga sono me ni umareta no da.")

They say that the eyes of the young brother obtained eternal light by gaining the new host…and moreover some mutant, peculiar new ocular power was(/powers were) born into the eyes.

Now, considering the fact that:

-When Madara got his brother's eyes, he immediately fought the Senju clan and lost
-When he got Kyubi, he fought Hashirama and took his dna to later awaken the Rinnegan

It makes sense that his eternal eyes never reached their full potential. Instead, Sasuke had been positioned as the person who will achieve that power. Believe it or not, a mastered eternal mangekyo Sharingan coupled with Sage power, could be an important weapon in this current battle. At least, that's how I interpret it.

Itachi: "By gaining a new host, the younger brother's eyes obtained eternal light...

Furthermore, another change emerged.
distinctly new ocular jutsu were born from those eyes.

...

Madara is a bitter, defeated dog...
...He is not worthy or capable of grasping Uchiha's true greatness.

...I am the one...
...Who shall surpass Madara and become the ultimate shinobi!"

I used to agree, but that changed the moment Kishi gave Sasuke Hashirama's chakra.

i agree with OT to the extent that sasuke will not awake rinnegan but sasuke is not able to control sage power because :-
1-he lacks strong physical body
2-he didnt trained for Sage mode

gaining hashirama's chakra is different than gaining hashirama's cells/powers thats why there is no chance for sasuke to awake rinnegan U_U

Orochimaru stated that Sasuke's power hasn't even came close to it's limit and yet Sasuke already reached the full potential of the EMS as soon as he activated the Perfect Susano'o so may I ask, if not the Rinnegan what power-up do you believe Sasuke will recieve?​

You should wait for the upcoming chapters before you end up looking silly. I hate Rinnegan but Sasuke's chances of getting it are very high. Didn't you see what Madara said about nurturing Sasuke's eyes?

Since Kabuto stated Rinnegan is the evolution of the sharingan it's only logical that nurturing Sasuke's EMS will result in Rinnegan. There's a reason Oro has been after Sasuke's body; There's a reason Kabuto wanted to do research on Sasuke; There's a reason Obito said Sasuke could one day surpass Nagato; There's a reason why Madara has shown interest in Sasuke's eyes. Sasuke's lack of Senju DNA is besides the point. He's an Uchiha so by default he has a higher chance of getting Rinnegan than any other character.

As I said. BlinkST should wait before making such a bold statement. The next chapter will have a color page and seeing how this one ended it is very likely we'll see Sasuke getting a power up soon.

It was never said that the stabilized Susano'o was the eternal eyes' power ceiling. Are you suggesting that when Itachi said this:

He had no idea about a stabilized Susano'o? You're talking about a person who knew the history of the Uchiha clan and did many studies as a child. The person who introduced the Susano'o to Sasuke in the first place.

That's fair enough and the ''Rinnehawk'' bandwagon was started by me and two more users (Puppet Master and Kaaant). The avatar was my idea after all..

orochimaru wanted sasuke's body not for ems, but the sharingan in general. what would madara be doing with a second pair of rinnegan?
@bold you need senju dna to awaken rinnegan if you dont have it you're just a another uchiha.
