I think you're getting the wrong interpretation Bogard.. Owarij said it best in that thread of his since you told him the same thing. Tobirama was revived near full power.. I currently don't see what a little more power would do anyways.
Tobirama can win only if they engage in CQC solely but if they both use their full arsenal Madara would come out at top.. Tobirama just doesn't have the feats to show he can compete from what I've seen so far.

Seems to me he was referring to all the new power ups/enhancements he recieved. Also just because he saying there's a gulf in their skills now doesn't mean they were on the same level before.. Madara could've still been way stronger back then but just now in current events he's left Tobirama so far behind that he describes it as a "gulf" in the comparisons to each others powers.

Because he finally gets to put down Tobirama for killing Izuna.

Maybe MS Madara but EMS Madara? Doubt it when he has PS. There's a reason Hashirama fought him and not Tobirama.

The fight was off-paneled. We don't know what Madara did to win. Also i'm not saying Tobirama is as strong as Madara. I'm only saying they were roughly on the same level(implied by Madara). Madara already had EMS alive, yet it's only now that he notices the gap difference. He even stated in the same chapter he wanted badly to kill Tobirama since he killed his brother. The fact he didn't shows it wasn't that easy

I know it was but we saw madara use black rods & that's what put tobirama down, its only logical to assume that madara didnt pull out PS against him.

Tobirama is really really weak compared to when he was alive, he didnt push madara to a full susanoo. So that means there was still a significant gap in power even after madara attained EMS which is why he said only hashi could compete with him.

As some people have said madara was most likely referring to tobirama's cqc ability. A man once praised as the fastest shinobi alive can't even land a hit. Tobirama didnt use a powerful jutsu, he used his specialty [sneak attacking].

All in all madara's statement could easily be saying that if tobirama was at full power he would've made contact with the hiraishingiri, but at his current level he cant even touch him.

Btw of course it was hard to kill tobirama, he was the brother of the first hokage.

It's already clear that Alive Tobirama was EMS Madara level as confirmed by Madara himself! Also Alive Minato is slightly better version of Tobirama which puts him on EMS Madara's level which is ofc comfortably above EMS Sasuke's Level. And now you give that person the BM which increases your power 100+ times!!

Really that much power, BM Minato soloes. Those not able to digest Alive Tobirama being on EMS Madara's level, the following is for you:

The thing is Madara sensed that attack and hence survived, but how could he do it?

Answer is simple: Sage Mode!!

The senjutsu absorbed from Hashirama's body allowed him to sense that attack as Senjutsu tell you about an attack even before it happens!

Had it been EMS Madara or Rinnegan Madara with No SM then that was prolly it! Tobirama would've one-shotted his ass and he'd share the same fate as this guy who ironically was at Madara's level [As said by Itachi]

We also know that Minato is better version of Tobirama in speed, reactions and in Hiraishin. Heck Minato could even take down this Madara with the way he took down Tobi!

1- I doubt that he meant it in the same way you think he meant it by. @.@
2- I think the keyword here is "skills" I don't think it's the same thing as power. For example, itachi may be a very skilled shinobi, and even more than Nagato, but there is a huge gap between their power.

Ems madara doesn't have sage mode and already admitted that in cqc tobirama is better. Minato's ftg and body flicker is better and as a result is cqc is better, and that's not even considering the buffs bm gives.

Hashi had to result to force to get past susanno but minato can jump it away with ftg leaving him open for a beat down.

As for sasuke and naruto, naruto can hold him down with tbb and cho frs. If he gets in trouble minato can jump him or switch places with him.
