Using these scans, It would be possible that if Orochimaru didn't have his Edos, he would have been easily killed by Hiruzen if he had killing intent at the beginning of the battle.

HIruzen was praised as the *strongest* but during both his terms as HOkage , but Minato was called the * BEST* while HIruzen was still alive over and over. HIruzen the third HOkage even took orders from Orochimaru . >.> wowee.. *_*

-They weren't even close to full power (less than half power)
-Orochimaru's edo tensei wasn't as good as kabuto's
- Edo tensei restricts the users full potential

But it's not what the feats show. An Old Hiruzen who could barley do Kage Bunsins without collapsing has defeated an immortal Tobirama who has limitless Chakra which is what Hiruzen was easily lacking.
