[Theory] ONE of the strongest Devil Fruits

Although it hasn't been introduced to the story yet.. but I have a strong feeling that eventually we will see a Pirate who has eaten a Water Devil Fruit..

I mean.. it will give them the power to turn into water at any point, and also control any body of water. (Like Ace with fire.. Akainu with magma.. Smoker with smoke.. etc.. etc..)

Since most of the planet of OP is covered in water, I think this will be one of the strongest Pirates of the series.. think about it.. this person will be able to EASILY sink ships.. and what's even crazier, is that this person will be able to kill other DF users with no problem. (Idk how salt water would effect the DF user themself though.. that's the only loophole to this DF power.. idk maybe it will be the ONLY DF in which sea water doesn't effect.. or maybe it would still effect them, so they would just have to avoid being touched by it, but they could still be able to mentally move it and control it.. idk.)

It might be Shanks who has it..

Or maybe Sabo.. (if he's alive that is lol)

Or maybe just someone we haven't been introduced to yet..


I think its really going to be Shanks though..

I dont think Shanks has a devil fruit . He saved Luffy from Sea King when He lost his arm and He didnt 'sink' in the water as Devil Fruit users would . And I dont think He has eaten a DF after that time .

Anyway, the existence of such a fruit would be damn OP, hopefully Oda includes it to the story .

Yeah I feel you on that.. lol I know he didn't have one when he saved Luffy.. but with him being one of the strongest Pirates of the series I have a feeling that he has eaten one by now.. my theory was that since he didn't eat the rubber DF maybe he was purposely waiting for a DF such as a Water one.. something so Over-Powered like you said.. lol I hope Oda does too though.. maybe it will be one of the final antagonists of the story.. idk.. Lol

1. I could get on board if it had a restriction that the controlled water does not sap a DF user of their power
2. if the user is a normal person a top tier with Haki should be able to take care of it quite easily

Water DF sorta goes against the very core of the DF but if for instance Shanks had it he would still be able to swim since he is water itself othervise he would not be able to move at all since the very water he has become would paralyze him like Luffy and water.

That would be a contridiction.i think aoda can make a DF with anything else besides water, also there is no point w/ fish men like jimbe. There might be one where the DF user can create water as an alternative usage for their DF, but it'll be a water DV

I can't imagine the sea water not sapping other DF users though..

But I agree with your #2. That's why I think it might be a Pirate who's a high-level Haki user as well like Shanks or someone and thats why this "Water DF user" would be possibly one of the strongest characters in the OP story.. lol idk.. I think it would be pretty cool either way.
