They've just gotten lazy, and terrible over the years, just look at the Storm series.

The series has just gone downhill (for the most part) after the first one.

Storm 2 was stripped of many features that were in storm 1. Wall fighting, Jutsu clashes, dynamic ultiamtes ect.

Storm Genrations was the same thing as Storm 2 but with sub bars and awful balancing.

Storm 3 is the laziest of the bunch. Identical to storm generations with team attacks. With a terrible story that contains more dialouge than actual gameplay, Missing bosses, short terrible and repetitive boss fights other than the Madara one and Tobi one(repetitive though). Non cannon story telling. And to top it off many missing characters, lazy DLC, Lies being told to us, and missing arenas and combos . Hell they're so lazy they re used portraits from the other games and didn't even do like 30% (alt costume ones) of them.

And they had a lot more time to work on this than generations.

Cyber connect sucks massive donkey genetelia.

Prove me wrong.

They're smart though, they know they have fans who will keep buying it just because they like naruto. So why make a good game when they'll pay $60 dollars for the same game over and over.

I agree they do suck sometimes, but I'll still keep buying it. Fun games I enjoy.

I like the storm games. Don't really care if anyone else doesn't.

I really don't care what anyone says, because I like the Storm games. The only Naruto game I played before Storm 2 was Clash of Ninja 2, and Storm 2 was a HUGE improvement from that. So for someone like me who's only played Clash of Ninja 2, Storm 2, Generations and 3, they're really good.

So, screw what you say, because the games are fun and I'm definitely going to get Revolution.

Yeah okay they might still be fun but they're still a downhill disaster....

Compared to Clash of Ninja 2, it's very uphill. It's pretty fun. I own other fighting games like Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive, Mortal Kombat, etc. I just dislike those type of fighting games where they're complicated to do combos and you can string someone and KO them in 3 seconds. I played Soul Calibur 5 online and my friend KOd me in 5 seconds with Maxi and I couldn't block or move or anything. I just like Storm Generations and 3 because they're much simpler and stuff. It makes it more fun when I have a chance to counter attack.

Although, I have over 1500 wins and almost 400 losses in Ranked match on Storm 3, though...

You just have to play the older ones to realize how downhill the series has went....

No thanks, I'm having more fun playing online in Storm 3 than on a PS2 game .-.

Naughty Dog is doing just great, sitting on top of their awards for the Last Of Us and they actually did something innovative with that game. As to why more game companies plan to follow their formula specifically for horror/survival type of games. Stop complaining about the online play, I remember you complained about it months ago as well. If you still haven't adjusted (improved) online it is just your skills or ability to adapt to blame.

OT: Yeah Cyber Connect 2 recycles a lot of content and make dumb removals like only having 3 combos instead of the traditional 4. I'll just wait to see what they do on the current gen.

Whilst I agree to a certain extent, they're not totally bad.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the Storm games (and all the Ultimate Ninja games on PS2) up until Storm 3, which is the only one in the series to disappoint me so far. All that means is that I won't preorder Revolution, but rather I'll wait until I know everything about it before purchasing.

The biggest complaint seems to be that the roster is usually recycled. Unfortunately that is how most fighting games are; take a look at Tekken and Soul Calibur for example. Characters might receive small tweaks here and there, but they usually keep the same combos from the previous game. In CC2's case, most characters might not show off anything new in the manga so they can't really make dramatic updates for everyone.

That said, I don't understand why they removed content from Storm 3. The background music for unplayable stages can still be found on the game disc, so they might have been included initially but removed to make space for story mode?
Removing combos and certain features doesn't make a lot of sense though; wall clashes is understandable (it was fairly gimmicky and somewhat useless) but removing combos was a terrible idea. The combat is already basic enough so it needs as much versatility as it can get.

Full Burst was fairly overpriced too. The costumes DLC was great, but FB was too overpriced for just a boss fight, character, and some missions. The graphical updates were unnecessary and hardly make much difference. Perhaps I'll buy it when it's under $5, but it's not really worth it anyway.

All I hope is that CC2 listens to their fans when it comes to Revolution. If it has everything we've been asking for since Storm 2/Generations, then I have no doubt that it'll be one of the best games in the series.
