My biggest complaint is honestly the fighting mechanics. The story mode was...eh. The art in the cutscenes was beautiful, I admit that, but there were a bit too many of those, and the free roam was pretty boring.
But the fighting mechanics...I'll admit, it's definitely different from Soul Calibur where Nightmare will literally end a fight in 8 seconds flat and you have to actually memorize all of the good combos.
Instant awakenings really killed it, IMO. I get the premise, but they're just so OP that anybody that really doesn't have instant awakenings are automatically a few tiers below those that do have it. Why not have everybody have an IA?
Removing a combo wasn't the smartest move as well. And maybe add some more variety to the combat.
