It boils down comfort. One having years of experience someplace else does not mean that theyll feel the same comfort here, as the overall structure is completely surrounding it's users. Older users here have a degree of superiority because they've seen it all, the good and bad, and have for them, are able to look at a situation for what it is and not it is presented to be. This results in a more arrogant posting. Arrogant not being any negative, to clear that up.
The case remains, obviously, if you've been on other forums, that sort of thing mostly becomes prominent to forum veterans, as they've seen such occurences to their own respected forums, as it happens around basically all forums, which isnt something new, they wont know much about the forum details, what been happening, or the forums and its members of course, its just like moving from your old school to a new one in actuality, they do know how to deal with fanboyism and other people in their arguments, and woukd have the decency to discuss freely, considering the fact that if you've been outside of NB the users are much more adept at those things, since on anime and manga forums, this sort of thing is second nature to People. I don't think he'd have any diffuclity, or make him inferior to older members in general, by just having a different join date compared to other people. As being an older member doesn't make you attain a certain postion anywhere, it's just there, as a showcase to point out when you joined, nothing else. Mostly, I've seen some new members that are actually very good at debating and posting logical comments.
It does alter thei intellect, but it alters their knowledge of what to expect and how to react in forums. It's like a business, the oldest worker isnt necessarily the brightest, but with the time put into the that specific workplace, he feels he has a right to act and behave in ways that newcomers don't feel.
Like I said, it's just like shifting, from something old to new, obviously the new members wouldn't be adept with the forums interface and how things work at first, usually it's not difficult for other forum members, specifically those who browse multiple anime hosted forums to actually figure out how the site works, since this isn't the first naruto site, there's an even bigger one outside of NB which is infact much older compared to NB, and has more members, I'm pretty sure if someone moves from there to here he wouldn't have any trouble on how to react on this certain naruto forum without much diffuclties, or other anime related forum he's been on before. Even if he joined now. Since he's already familiar with it, he wouldn't need to act any differently. Why would he?
