Obito respected Itachi more than any other shinobi?

Obito feared Itachi because he knew he wasn't strong enough to kill him, or they'd both die if he ever tried.

Itachi feared tobi because he thought he was the fame madara uchiha. Even if he seemed in a weaker state, itachi didn't want to risk his life, and not get to fulfil his goal with sasuke, by attacking a legend. And, Let's be honest... Obito really sold the idea that he was madara.

In the end they both stalemated each other and was cautious about each other.

First i dont even think he could make Akatsuki to kill Itachi. You just have to look into personalities of each member. They all had goals on their own. Even Pein betrayed him in the end. Only member i could think of who could help Obito is Kisame. But then again Kisame respected Itachi as well. The quustion would be which he respected more?And i just have to choose Itachis direction cuz they are partners........

ALL of akatsuki wanted Orochimaru dead. Was he killed? No.

Well Orochimaru was not in akatsuki when they wanted him dead. He was rogue hiding in his cave's.

Itachi on the other hand was inside the akatsuki, if obito wanted him dead, he would do it himself or get the akatsuki to ambush him.

the reason it never happened was because obito didn't want to kill itachi.

Most of the members respected Itachi even Pein at some point too. So i agree with AGoodBoy, he simply would left Akatsuki if they would try to make something against Itachi but i doubt about this plan chances.....

People will disagree but lets look at the facts:

1) Obito didn't care for Madara and turned on him
2) Obito didn't care for Minato and fought him
3) Obito didn't care for Kakashi and they were team-mates
4) Obito didn't care from Akatsuki and used them
5) Obito didn't care for Sasuke


Now if we look at the history between him and Itachi

Itachi was the only shinobi Obito truly was cautious of and respected enough to follow his wishes until after he died. I know people will say Obito was being nice but lets face it... he turned on Madara.

The only person Obito respected and feared was Kabuto and that was only because of their interests seemed to parallel. That and Kabuto had him with the coffin.

Itachi and Obito's relationship wasn't based on fear it was based on compromise. Both had something to lose at the time. Just because Obito isn't stupid enough to fight someone who wants to be killed by their kid brother doesn't mean he was afraid.

Itachi was a roadblock that ended up resolving itself.
