Really long time no post.
Forgive me if this has already been posted and re-direct it if necessary.
Anyways for my theory:

There a few questions which I often find myself thinking about like:

-> How old is Madara?

-> How come he is still alive?

-> What did he mean by "being complete"?

To start off, a "normal" ninja wouldn't still be alive given the fact that Madara fought the 1st Hokage.
We may argument with Kakuzu and Hidan, but I don't think it is Madara's case.

I believe that this is because Madara is in fact a GHOST or SPIRITUAL being of some sort. This woud explain a couple of things:

-> Why atacks go right through him

-> Why he can teleport anywhere at will

-> Why up until now there has been no evidence of him fighting or using any real techniques (if you don't count the disappearing acts as techniques)

A hint could come from what Itachi said in manga 386:

"Today Madara is a pathetic shell of his former self. He is no longer worth being considered the greatest Uchiha."

The eye of the moon plan, in my opinion is a way Madara found to restore his physical self and possibly gain the powers of the sage of the 6 paths in the process.
So for it to work he would need an intense amount of chackra (tailed beasts).

There are a fez loose ends though, ex:

-> If he is a ghost how did the mokuton jutsu grab him? We could argument that the jutsu envolved his chackra/spiritual energy or whatnot.

-> How and when did he become this spiritual/ghost entity? I do not have an answer for that.

Anyways, it is just a theory, plausible or not it was fun to think about. I didn't have time yet to find all the times attacks went through Madara, but when I find the time I will. Help is appreciated.

I will enjoy the comments.

Peace.

Re: [Theory] Uchiha Madara: Being Complete

nice try. but I do not agree that Madara is just a spiritual being. Madara has body just like every other shinobi but ofcourse it is stronger than many.
Here is the proof.

From databooks it can be said that Madara age is about 80 years. Though there is no proof to this. But it can not be denied. Bcoz if 1st, 1st offspring, tsunade her offspring would be of age of minato and then naruto, only 5 generations have passed. So 80 years seems possible...
Madara is still complete, but is loosing his powers or he is dying so he wants power of beasts to stop dying process. But this do not tells us why he will need nagato's gado rinne tensei though.

I agree that Madra has to be up there in the 70's or 80's...I believe that Madra planned on dying in an attempt to capture the nine tailed beast and was depending on nagto's rinne tensi to bring him back and then finally capture the 9 tailed fox..I honestly don't know what he means by being complete with having the tailed beast

Re: [Theory] Uchiha Madara: Being Complete

Madara can`t be in hes 80`s GUYS. Think about it from what we saw the first was around 30 at least when he fought Madara for the first time. And when Jiraiya said to Tsunade that she is a Lady in her 50`s. So please come to reality with this IT IS HUMANLY NOT POSSIBLE FOR MADARA TO BE ALIVE without some forbidden tech. And about Madara being complete : Hmm well he is definetly not a ghost...No way just to supernatural for so much chakras and powers going around Just a simple ghost is way to crappy. I think he is possesing some poor bastard and stole a sharingan and he wants to revive his former body with all the EMS techs.

Re: [Theory] Uchiha Madara: Being Complete

Hum...like I said before...if it was posted before then either redirect it or...whatever.

The image of madara blocking an atack (had completely forgot about that one) sure does dismantle the idea a bit...I mean, if we were to stretch it enough, who knows what powers a "ghost" so to speak could have....but then again...

Anyways tks for the input.

Peace.

Re: [Theory] Uchiha Madara: Being Complete

Madara was put on fire with amaterasu flames by Itachi's implanted amaterasu through sasuke.. and then he extinguished them saying.. thank God he didn't teach Itachi a few things about the sharingan.. so if he is ghost or spiritual I doubt the he wud catch flames or need to extinguish them

Re: [Theory] Uchiha Madara: Being Complete

i think it has something to do with the fail save part itachi only knew the fail part but maybe he didnt idk but anyways i think madara used that fail part on the first hokage where everyone thought he was dead but he wasnt he was save but useing this maybe there is some sort of effect and he now needs the tailed beasts to be complete again

Re: [Theory] Uchiha Madara: Being Complete

You all forgot about Shisui of the mirage (shisu the teleporter in animee). He is the one pretending to be The Original Madra Uchiha.

Itachi did not kill him. He was surprised to hear of his death. He later joined up with him to kill off all the torturous Uchihas in order to maintain the peace in the village. You all should go back and read the manga along with the animee and it seems alot clearer. Itachis and his dad fell out because itachi would not acknoledge the uchiha true purpose. Sauske had finally gotten his father to acknoledge him only when it was apparent Itachi would not conspire with the uchiha to over throw the leaf village.
Shisu was the other figure sauske saw when he was heading home late.

notice how Kishimoto used the moon symbolism to link past magna to the present Moons eye plan.
