Are you scared of Death?

I'm not scared of death, but I do not want to die young before my time.

The reason I'm not afraid is because I strongly believe that there's some sort of afterlife and that our souls are everlasting.

But like I said, I do not want to die before I am able to do all that I wanted to do in life, including getting married and starting a family, etc.

As someone stated, the concept of death isn't scary. I've embraced the concept years ago and I'm only 17. In my opinion, the thing that gets people is the way they're going to die. People expect death, as you've stated, "We all die..." What we don't expect is how, and that's the horror in it. We could die at any moment by any single or multiple things. However our minds are set upon the thought that we will live until we are old, so that's what we mainly expect.

@People saying they aren't afraid but saying they don't want to die painfully. The reason you don't want to die painfully is fear... If you truly weren't afraid of death, you would have no exceptions.

I'm 22, and I can honestly say I have no fear about death what so ever. As long as it's painless or quick...
Obviously nobody wants a painful death but as long as when it's my time to go, I die a "calm death" without too much discomfort, i'll be happy.
(not that im saying I'd be happy if i died right now. I'm only 22)

It's going to happen to everyone eventually, so it's pointless been scared of something that we can't control the outcome.

I'm not. Death is inevitable, regardless of who, or what you are. Being afraid of it won't change a thing, nor will it benefit me in any way. I simply choose not to think about it too much, what happens, happens.

The fear of death results from a much deeper line of fears. Loss of what you know, and the fear of what you dont. The lack of knowledge and such a permanent situation. Makes too many anxieties in which very few can explain so all they know is they fear death when its usually most the underlining things that scare them

No I'm not, it's something unavoidable, fearing it doesn't make the outcome any better, what comes to life evantually dies. I'd be much more worried about having a fear of something which is inevitable. Everyone human who comes to life will die, I mean there's no telling, I might even die by getting hit by a bus, you never know

I have no fear of death whatsoever, I mean why be afraid of eternal rest?

The way I die on the other hand is something to be scared of, I suppose. I mean, I'd much rather prefer dying quickly, or from old age as opposed to dying and feeling the pain, like drowning.

As a person who believes in life after death, yes I do fear death. Because I have not yet served my purpose here.
