Uh I really don't know much about dark release, since its only been seen in the movies. I have watched them, but its been a while and it was only shown for a short moment.

Well, what I know about dark release; it is a KG, it has to do with using one of your hand to absorb specific techniques and elemental techniques. As far as I know, I believe dark release is limited to absorbing the elements of air, lightning, and fire but I may be wrong. Uh the chakra or elements absorbed is used as counterattack, I think. Like, use the technique you absorb to create dark chakra and use it offensively or defensively. I don't know too much >_<.

Dark release is handy which is why I want to learn it. Extremely useful where you can rely on the absorption of techniques as a line of defense and also use it offensively as well. Most importantly, I'm thinking of submitting a custom where you absorb x amount of chakra and coat it around your body to enter some dark mode or something, Idk yet lol.

Dark release is made up of fire and lightning.

I'll explain in further detail:

0. Meiton is a KG in which the user acts almost as an Organic Fuuinjutsu of sorts, absorbing and releasing physical and spiritual energies (chakra). Because it works, in a sense, like a Fuuinjutsu, the absorbed chakra doesn't actually enter the users Chakra Circulatory System (like what happens with the Rinnegan's absorption abilities) but its kept in the KG mark, as if stored in a separate space within the body. One can say the squares (upper and lower) are much like portals to the sealing space but the sealing space has no connection with the user's chakra. Because of this, the user has little control over the form he can release said chakra. As he releases it, it manifests in a raw energy form rather than a specific elemental one.

3. Yes, Hiruko is the one who uses it, he used it via the Chimera Technique, to change his chakra type to Dark, Steel, Swift and Storm.

Okay, I shall explain the strength and weaknesses of our KG.

Dark Release is strong towards energy based elements because energy absorption is the core ability of dark release. Not only that but Energy is easier to absorb and manipulate than matter. Another thing, Dark is able to absorb things like; Storm, Dust, Scorch and even raw Sage Jutsu.

But when release your opponents technique, if your opponent blocks using any of the following; The four obvious ones; Fire, Lighting, Wind and Raw chakra along side these more uncommon ones; Sand, Rain, Steam or Boil you will have the upper hand, since dark just eats right though energy based chakra.

While Dark isn't strong against Water and Earth since they are both matter elements and, lets be real you can't absorb something that is matter, just doesn't work like that. Earth suffers double strength towards the absorbing ability of Dark Release (meaning that only an S-Rank Dark release can absorb a B-Rank Earth technique)

And again when release your opponents technique. If your opponent blocks using any of the following; The two obvious ones Earth and Water as well as; Solid Ice, Steel, Wood or Lava. They will overpower your dark as they are matter based.

The reason I like dark release, it gives you the chance to absorb your opponent attack and redirect it stronger.

I thought I did? I explained the strength and weaknesses of Dark release.

Dark release is neutral when they clash, but dark is strong against lighting when getting absorbed.
Earth, it's pretty much only small related things, like I don't small rocks, infused with chakra. That being said, you will only absorb the chakra from the earth, then the earth when turn back into just plain old earth.

Toshiro takes a deep breath and concentrates. First, he starts out with normal chakra and gathers it on his left hand by directing it through his chakra system. With the help of nature transformation, he changes the nature of the chakra into the zappy, staticy, and electric properties of lightning; thus turning it into lightning chakra. He keeps that their for a second until he gathers more chakra into the same palm. He preforms nature transformation into the normal chakra and changes the nature of the chakra into the properties of fire, the warm and burning properties of fire. By carefully merging the chakra into proportional quantities, he safely merges it into one kind of chakra; dark chakra z.z

Description: The user will release dark waves of chakra towards their target through their hand.

So this is a simple jutsu; I want you to gather up your newly made dark chakra and I want you to use shape manipulation on your dark chakra, once you do that I want you to form outwards in front of you as a small wave. That you will send towards my clone, who is at mid-range of you.

One/three advantages:

• 1. It covers a wide range because of how it is a wave (width wise.)
• 2. Requires no handseals so it can be performed rather quickly.
• 3. It is fast to execute so it can be used as a quick counter during pressured times, or used during taijutsu.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. Cannot reach long range
• 2. Because of how it is a wave, it can be evaded by either ducking or rising yourself, of course not freeformly.
• 3. Not too much of a disadvantage but it can only be performed with one hand, your left hand

How you would use it in battle: this would primarily be used during taijutsu, or to or before engaging in taijutsu to start the battle. I would use it to take down kunais and small projectile weaponry and also attack my opponent with it, in terms of aiming towards a vital spot. I would use it with bringer of darkness
How you would counter it: A simple C rank elemental technique would cause both to be halted. I can rise with an earth pillar or even duck down with a taijutsu technique. I can also use a stronger ranked elemental technique as an actual counter.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I gather my fire and lightning chakra together and merge it, giving both the sane quantities and merging it to a new kind of chakra, dark chakra. The new chakra is coated in my left hand and I release it in the form of dark chakra, while performing shape manipulation to shape it into a single wave if dark chakra.

This is similar to the last technique; I want you to gather up your dark chakra and I want you to use shape manipulation on your dark chakra, once you do that I want you to form outwards in front of you as a larger wave. That you will send towards my clone, who is at long range of you. This is a longer wave and goes further then the latter.

Since it has to travel, I would have more time to add a techniqp. I can even use bringer of darkness, to make the wave blend in or water imprisonment to keep them in place while the wave attacks them.
[B]How you would counter it:[/B] Like the other one, C rank or higher would suffice or hiding like a mole to hide from under, or water pillar thrust to rise yourself up. 
[B]How you perform it (with as much detail as you can):[/B] I gather fire and lightning chakra and merge then together, keeping equal amounts of lightning and fire chakra. I turn the merged chakra to dark chakra with the help of nature transformation. I then release it by holding out my left hand and perform shape manipulation to change the shape of the wave I released earlier to a larger wave that can reach further

One question: what happens if you release it at short or mid range?

Description: By gathering dark chakra into both their hands, the user can then unleash a powerful and focused shock wave that, when it hits a person close range it could cause tremendous internal damage.

Okay with this one, I want you to gather a decent amount of meiton chakra in both your hands, then I want you to use shape manipulation on the chakra to focus it down to a shock that you will then proceed to form the shock wave outwards in front of you, my clone will be short range from you, sending this towards my clone at short range will cause tremendous internal damage, so this technique is best for short range.

One/three advantages:

• 1. Requires no handseals
• 2. Range is awesome, you can perform it at any range!
• 3. Causes internal damage which will most likely affect your opponent throughout the rest of the battle, causing them to be sluggish and harder for them to respond due to the damage inside.

One/three disadvantages:

• 1. You need to use both of your hands, which isn't that bad i suppose but you won't have a hand to use to defend
• 2. Easy to evade since it is a shockwave, so you can just get out of the way and it is a continious shockwave, i
• 3. Nothing else, incredibly useful for me.

How you would use it in battle: Well like you suggested, using it in short-range would be wisest because it would be harder to evade and that the technique creates internal damage. If i use it in short-range, it would have a higher chance to hit my opponent since their would be less time to react and once it makes impact and causes internal damage, i would begin a taijutsu battle and they surely will not be able to keep up.
How you would counter it: I would counter this technique by using a solid material like a sturdy wall of earth to defend against it. If it is at short-range, hiding like a mole would be an easy and quick escape but if i choose to go head on, i can create an armor made of wind/earth from the B-rank techniques. I can also evade it by any wind techniques that has enough force to push me away.
How you perform it (with as much detail as you can): I gather fire chakra in my body and send it in my left hand. I also send some lightning chakra in the same spot as well and perform nature transformation, changing the chakra into the properties of fire and lightning. Then, i merge them together carefully, making equal proportions of each. Lastly, i release it in the outside by holding my two hands out and use shape manipulation to shape it into a shockwave.

Nothing presonal. tbh, he's one of the best senpai's i've trained with. The information that he gives with the jutsus are superb and i can always ask questions. But, i noticed his training activity slowly decreasing from time to time and because their was like 5 more jutsus left, i really wanted to finish earth before the new years <_> sorry :T_T:
