A Letter to The Moderators!

Hello!
This is not much of a letter though, if I am doing this wrong pardon me.

The thing I wanted to point out is the increase of obscene gif images being used as either avatars or signatures by some members, this clearly goes against the rules of NB as it is said to be a family site not a soft porn site.

I would kindly ask that this matter is addressed properly by the mods and I would like those who do this to please stop, this is a manga discussion site not a soft porn site.

OT: Chi and Penguin said it all. Not only are you complaining about something that's not actually against the rules, but you yourself also broke rules by posting this thread in the wrong section.

How is this not against the rule, if it was the clothing only then it is not against the rules but the clothing together with the sexual themes if surely against the rules unless NB is now a site for perverts.

Or probably 10, either way, that's been happening for a while now, If the mods really deem it inappropriate then the neccessity to remove them would've been done pretty while back, the NB rules don't rule out stuff which doesn't contain excessive explicit material, if the specific sexual organs are covered there's nothing wrong with it, that's like saying the girls oj the beach wearing bikinis and tell them to dress appropriately.

I am 19 actually. There was a very old thread someone made for people to post pictures of ladies just like these ones and it was closed so probably the mods did not see the sigs and avatars I am talking about.

I've just looked at the thread from a different browser as a guest; this seems to be the case.

Therefore OP, you're debating against something that is legally fine until the images get too risque. That's not to say the administration doesn't do anything against offenders, because they have removed said images in the past.

Want to know one thing from you since I heard you are mod somewhere else, and I am unable to see any mod viewing this thread, and that is, how you guys i.e. mods set the code of conduct for something like obscene, because as I said in my previous post 'obscene' is relative term and something 'obscene' from my point of view may not be obscene from other's point of view.:yeah:

The key words that reflect this are:

"• be libelous, defamatory, indecent, vulgar or obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit or sexually suggestive, racially, culturally, or ethnically offensive, harmful, harassing, intimidating, threatening, hateful, objectionable, discriminatory, or abusive, or which may or may not appear to impersonate anyone else;"

So setting the tone for what is and isn't too sexually-suggestive for a 13-year old is pretty simple--no showing of mammary glands, genitalia, risque gyrations or fondling, and sexual movements, clothing or otherwise. The part in italics is the gray area, because it's generally a percentage of how much is shown. Obviously you can't expose the areole, but you can display portions of the female breast before it's, again, too risque.

That's my point, and besides its not allowed to have those images, as the rules state. Or am I wrong

It's wrong to post images with people engaging in sexual contact and images with nudity. Then you have the gray areas of gyrating and inappropriate fondling and what have you. 0% of these images on this thread portray this. The images on the community which do display inappropriate content would be dealt with (hopefully).

Deleted a lot of spam. Please use the report button if you come across such a post where someone is using explicit/inappropriate/offensive/extreme violence/problematic images whether in the post itself or signatures or avas. A mod will check that out and take necessary action.

@Everyone:

Please remember that if the mods found that image problematic in some way then they can ask you to remove it immediately or may remove it themselves. Infractions, bans and other penalties can also be issued for the same.

Why don't you just disable avatars and signatures in your settings, if you can't handle anything suggestive.

You can survive on one forum site without soft porn. There are plenty others providing you that kind of fun. Don't ruin it for the rest of us who are not looking for that fix here. ^^
