Actually the chakra in Amaterasu is a lot greater than a regular rasengan, that it builds up immense pressure.
So you got that part wrong...
Also, the only reason why I don't believe preta can absorb doujustu ninjutsu (MS/EMS) is because every time the chance come it fails to do so in a sense.
If you really think about it, can preta absorb MS techniques like Kamui or even KA?
So I'm still searching for an answer at this point.
Susanoo is already confirmed why he can't absorb it.

KA is a Genjutsu and Kamui is a very special case. Where Kamui is a warp in space and time, Amaterasu is straight Chakra fire.

He knew before he got controlled, he just went along with it to stop himself from fighting.
He could of repelled it as soon as it touched him, if he wanted really wanted too.

Every uchiha has a special ninjutsu in one eye, you can't single out one because you hate the character.

A Justu is a justu, there are same traits that all MS techniques share.

Amaterasu is tangible. That is the difference. Please make an attempt to understand that critical difference. Just because they come from a Mangekyō, does not make two Jutsu the exact same thing.

Look at the state of that guy (Nagato) in your first scan after he blew away Amaterasu.
Only reason he was able to use ST there is because he's an Edo. If not, the intense pain inflicted by Amaterasu will prevent him from using any doujutsu based techs.

Either way, he did not want Nagato interrupting.
I'm not going to repeat myself for the umpteenth time how Nagato can sense Amaterasu and how Preta Path absorbs it.

This scan is enough to prove anyone wrong. He sensed the build up, and used Shinra Tensei before the flames came out. So he can definitely dodge it or counter attack before Amaterasu is released.
