So how did the Byakugan originate??

So after Chapter 462 we now know the eldest son of Rikudou Sennin were given the 'eyes' whose descendants later became known as the Uchicha Clan.

So for a long time, we assumed that the Byakugan came first and later gave birth to the Sharingan but now that's not entirely true. It was only a rumour that Kakashi suspected but as we know the Hyuga Clan and Uchicha Clan would've been protective of their clan techniques and past.

So how do you think the Byakugan ties in with the link between the Rinnegan and the Sharingan? Do you think it was a simple case of the eldest son descendants genes starting to dilute and eventually mutate into the Byakugan, later mutating some more due to demon blood mixing (tengu theory), giving birth to the Sharingan? Perhaps Kakashi theorized they came from the same source of origin with both mutating at different times from the 'Sennin eyes' and people interrupted his comment of simply being Byakugan-->Sharingan. Or maybe Kishi is just retconning previous information and Byakugan has no relevance to the other Dojutsu?

In my opinion, The byakugan was just a mutation of genes. or pehpas they expelled the hyugas for the forming uchiha clan because they thought they were blind and weak.

i was thinking the same.. when they spoke about how the sharingan came from the rinnegan, i remembered kakashi saying that the sharingan was rumored to have come from the byakuugan.. so i was a bit confused at first but i came up with that same theory.. because madara did say that the sharingan came about after a long line of descendants and their blood thinning and mixing and whatnot..

What I want to see badly is some form of a MS Byakuugan that Neji unlocks. I have no idea what it would do, though a medium/long range jutsu would be nice.

Yeah that's one plus for the Byakugan over since other 2 dojutsu's since your pretty much born with them the Byakugan has been pretty much nerfed by Kishi for a long time now.
