The problem with Hiruzen is that he has yet to show feats that backs up his hype. He was called the "God of Shinobi" but was over 10 years ago and now Hashirama is being referred to by that moniker. Kishi changed his mind.

Strong hype, but poor feats.

Until he backs up his hype, Hiruzen is not in the league of Hashirama.

Ok. If Kurama claims that there was a man stronger than the Sage, would you believe him. I'm pretty sure as hell that more than half of NB would believe it yet there is no feats. This is bias. I'm showing with manga facts and character's explanations that Hiruzen is powerful, not the strongest but powerful. Strong enough to be praised by both Naruto and Sasuke who are pretty beast Shinobi themselves. What reason is their for both of them to lie.

Honestly, i don't see how anyone can call Hiruzen Fodder. Raw power is not the only thing that makes a person strong, and this is the case with him. What he has going for him :

He has great mastery over all forms of shinobi combat, and is said to be able to use all the jutsu of the leaf (excluding Kekkei genkai's ofc, He can not use susanoo xD)

The amount of experience he has. He was made hokage at a young age, and held the position for several decades. Based of this, he is one of the longest ruling hokags in the series.

He was called the professor, for his Great understanding of shinobi combat. He was able to tell what technique a person would use, based of the handseals, and he was able to quickly analyze the Ability used by Obito.

He was trained personally by 2 of the strongest shinobi ever, and he got the Will of Fire from Hashirama. I don't see how anyone who was trained by these legends, can be a ''fodder''.

Im sure i missed something in this wall of text, so anyone feel free to point it out.


Just because Hiruzen doesn't have something as destructive as Shinsuusenju, or the speed of FTG, that doesn't make him weak. As i said before, i don't think that he is Stronger than Hashirama. But he is one the same level as all the Hokage, and shouldn't be taken lightly Peace.
