I just realized something. How did Itachi manage to use sharingan genjutsu on Kabuto if he was immune to it? [ ] :erm:

In this scan, Kabuto says that he is immune to genjutsu. [ ]

Also, his immunity to genjutsu(sennin) power was not removed until Orochimaru's revival which was afterwards. [ ]

So why is it that Itachi can still use sharingan genjutsu on Kabuto if he was immune to it and still has the sennin powers intact? :|

Did I miss something or did Kishi play the game of defying logic again? :eww:

his eyes were always open he disabled his vision entirely so opened or closed he couldn't see therefore couldnt get hit by genjutsu

He opened his eyes as you can clearly see in the scan.

But how does that change anything? :| The immunity to genjutsu was granted by the sennin powers Kabuto had. However, Kabuto only lost those powers shortly after when Oro was revived. This was clearly after Itachi used his sharingan genjutsu on Kabuto to undo the Edo Tensei. :eww:

No your wrong.

This is the scan where kabuto firsts deactivates his vision[ ]. You clearly see the dark shade covering go over his eyes, notice before the dark shade covering went over his eyes were white/yellow.

All itachi did was simply lift them up.

...

His sannin powers granted him to block his vision by allowing that dark shade substance to cover his eyes, like I said itachi simply pull them up with his palm.

Orochimaru's DNA gave him the ability to close off his vision with weird snake eyelids. He was basically fighting blind. Itachi then uncovered his eyes at the end.

Both you guys are misunderstanding. The shade substance was not used to block genjutsu but it was rather used to block out the light which was to come from the jutsu Kabuto was about to use. Next time pease read more than a page. I'll gladly provide this for you. :yeah:

Ok and? The black shades helped with white rage what is your point? That doesn't change the fact that the black shade also blocked vision preventing genjutsu.

Even when he didn't use white rage again his black shades were

"blocked vision preventing genjutsu" - what do you mean by this? :erm:

Kabuto said himself that he "blocked" his "own eyesight". What does this mean? It means that he couldn't see anything. Not even chakra. The only way he could fight really well was due to his sensory abilities which Jugo and Karin's powers granted him and probably along with his sennin powers also. You cannot cast basic visual genjutsu on someone who cannot see anything. Lol Izanami and Izanagi are the only exception because they work with the other senses like Itachi said himself. [ ]

In other words, Kabuto's immunity to basic sharingan genjutsu power was still intact as he still had all his powers. The only time when the immunity to basic sharingan genjutsu was lost was when Oro stole Kabuto's powers when he was revived. So therefore, the only other explanation could be that Izanami affected this power in some way. hmm If Kishi didn't srew anything up that is. U_U

I'm not denying the manga bro, neither of us are. We're both giving our own interpretation of it. It's just a matter of which interpretation is more believable.

Exactly my point at Bold..

You basically destroyed your own thread.. Kabuto couldn't see anything which means he couldn't see the pupil of the sharigan eye which would put him into a genjutsu. The black shade blocks his vision, itachi and sasuke couldn't look into his eyes because of the black substance..

I believe I am right and you are wrong here, there is no interpretation to be made, first you said the black shades were for white rage even though it helped preventing the side effect of white rage that doesnt mean the black shades purpose for only white rage but also for preventing genjutsu.
