Exactly my point at Bold..
You basically destroyed your own thread.. Kabuto couldn't see anything which means he couldn't see the pupil of the sharigan eye which would put him into a genjutsu. The black shade blocks his vision, itachi and sasuke couldn't look into his eyes because of the black substance..
I believe I am right and you are wrong here, there is no interpretation to be made, first you said the black shades were for white rage even though it helped preventing the side effect of white rage that doesnt mean the black shades purpose for only white rage but also for preventing genjutsu.
...
lol your good, trying to play with words in order to defeat me in this. Lol
You cannot use sharingan genjutsu on someone/something that cannot see or doesn't have eyes. :eww: This is because the eyes act like an input mechanism. In other words, you have to see in order to get caught in sharingan genjutsu. However, Kabuto negated that possibility and completely shut off his blindness. :| It's as clear as that and like I already said, he was detecting Sasuke and Itachi solely on his sensory abilities. Also not to mention, he had an obvious locational advantage.
By your logic, base sharingan genjutsu can be casted on someone who has their eyes closed.

But this clearly can't be the case as Kakashi instructed his comrades to shut their eyes so that they couldn't be harmed by genjutsu in part 1, when he had confronted Itachi. You've made yourself into quite the fool.
This fight was easily in Kabuto's favour in terms of the abilities he had and the place he was in.

But like Kishi usually does, he introduced a "cheat" jutsu that caused Kabuto to get defeated without dying so that Itachi could undo the Edo Tensei. Not to forget Sasuke who is one of the main characters, was fighting against Kabuto and just think if Sasuke died and Kabuto won, the plot would be totally ruined. :yeah:
C'mon when Kabuto said he was immune to genjutsu he was referring to the fact that he had a veil like curtain covering
his eyes, thus the possibility of getting caught in ocular jutsu was dismissed.
Own interpretation of the manga?

It is as clear as day
It's certainly not as clear as you say, because this "veil like curtain covering" was also used for another purpose. It was used to block out the light when Kabuto used that white rage jutsu so that he could get the advantage. U_U
