C'mon when Kabuto said he was immune to genjutsu he was referring to the fact that he had a veil like curtain covering

his eyes, thus the possibility of getting caught in ocular jutsu was dismissed.

Own interpretation of the manga?:p It is as clear as day

Exactly my point at Bold..

You basically destroyed your own thread.. Kabuto couldn't see anything which means he couldn't see the pupil of the sharigan eye which would put him into a genjutsu. The black shade blocks his vision, itachi and sasuke couldn't look into his eyes because of the black substance..

I believe I am right and you are wrong here, there is no interpretation to be made, first you said the black shades were for white rage even though it helped preventing the side effect of white rage that doesnt mean the black shades purpose for only white rage but also for preventing genjutsu.

...

lol your good, trying to play with words in order to defeat me in this. Lol

You cannot use sharingan genjutsu on someone/something that cannot see or doesn't have eyes. :eww: This is because the eyes act like an input mechanism. In other words, you have to see in order to get caught in sharingan genjutsu. However, Kabuto negated that possibility and completely shut off his blindness. :| It's as clear as that and like I already said, he was detecting Sasuke and Itachi solely on his sensory abilities. Also not to mention, he had an obvious locational advantage.

By your logic, base sharingan genjutsu can be casted on someone who has their eyes closed. :yay: But this clearly can't be the case as Kakashi instructed his comrades to shut their eyes so that they couldn't be harmed by genjutsu in part 1, when he had confronted Itachi. You've made yourself into quite the fool. :p

This fight was easily in Kabuto's favour in terms of the abilities he had and the place he was in. But like Kishi usually does, he introduced a "cheat" jutsu that caused Kabuto to get defeated without dying so that Itachi could undo the Edo Tensei. Not to forget Sasuke who is one of the main characters, was fighting against Kabuto and just think if Sasuke died and Kabuto won, the plot would be totally ruined. :yeah:

It's certainly not as clear as you say, because this "veil like curtain covering" was also used for another purpose. It was used to block out the light when Kabuto used that white rage jutsu so that he could get the advantage. U_U

Both you guys are misunderstanding. The shade substance was not used to block genjutsu but it was rather used to block out the light which was to come from the jutsu Kabuto was about to use. Next time pease read more than a page. I'll gladly provide this for you. :yeah:

Like 'damon hunt' said, Kabuto "..disabled his vision entirely so opened or closed he couldn't see therefore couldnt get hit by genjutsu."

Now, use some common sense here. Why would kabuto need to cover his eyes to 'block out the light from white rage' if his vision was disabled? You don't need to protect vision that's not there.

Sigh.. you still don't understand and try to deny the manga and scans and kishimoto. I already proved you wrong and countless other people did as well.

LOL what is going on? Why are u trying to complicate it? Do u truly believe that when kabuto said he now has immunity to

ocular genjutsu he wasn't referring to him blocking his vision with those eye veils? Are u implying that dragon sage mode

now grants an unmentioned power to render ocular genjutsu whatsoever? LOL it is simply strange that the moment after

Kabuto closes off his vision with those veils he says that he is immune to genjutsu...

Well, why don't you think for a second. :| Why would Kabuto cover his eye when using white rage jutsu when he could just disable his vision? The answer is simple. It's because he didn't disable his vision before using white rage jutsu. I'm not the person to ask why he didn't disable his vision then, so it's pointless asking me this. Maybe it's because it takes time for his vision to become disabled, I don't know. I'm just following the manga and this is what it seems to be conveying. hmm

He undid Kabuto's eye-covers

No he didn't. :| I don't think this discussion is getting anywhere since we're only focusing on manga. Well, how about we take a look at the anime since it always does do a good job in illustrating the manga better. Look at 18:03 in this episode.

Itachi merely lifted Kabuto's eyelids slightly so that he could focus on his eyes. There was no sign of shades or eye covers being removed. :eww:

I'll say this again, I'm not denying with manga or with the scans. I guess there are some idiots like yourself who wish to stick to their words even if they are incorrect. Oh well, it can't be helped I guess. U_U

Okay, maybe he was referring to his eye veils but that doesn't change the fact, Itachi still used the genjutsu despite Kabuto having the eye veils over his eyes. Maybe DSM itself does grant genjutsu immunity? Hey, no where in the manga does it say that it doesn't. :p
