Totsuka blade is not slow and is underrated SEVERELY

Making this thread in regards to Totsuka blade being low.

In this thread I will prove that totsuka blade is not slow.

During the Orochimaru fight when Totsuka blade was first introduced we learned a few things about Totsuka blade:

1) It's shape can change from narrow to extremely broad
2) It pierces anything it touches
3) It is extremely fast for it's size and radius


When Itachi fought the eight headed hydra with Totsuka and Yata mirror we notice when Susanoo Swings totsuka blade vs the snakes


Every head of the snake hits the ground simultaneously. Thus implying that the sword slice was so fast everything was dismembered simultaneously

Also in the above picture look at the radius between the rightheaded hydra from furthest left head to the furthest right head once they are cut.

If we truly Analyze the distance between each furthest head then compare totsuka blade length in the top panel. We can conclude that Totsuka blade actually increased in size instantly to cut off all heads.

Next, we have Orochimaru being stabbed by totsuka blade MID-DIALOGUE

This indicates the speed at which Susanoo can actually thrust it's power at someone.

To Further back this we show Sasuke vs Danzo where Sasuke smashes Danzo with amazing speed and force

Note the radius of Susanoo fist compared to Danzo body as well as the AOE damage caused.

With the information provided and the fact that Totsuka Length and shape can change whenever. How can we say this blade is easy to dodge when the opponent can't predict the Shape, width, or length of the blade. Let alone how fast the Blade is swung

orochimaru didnt even tried to avoid that attack, he thought it was a regular sword/attack. Every ppl that got actually direct hit from totsuka didnt even tried to dodge it ( orochimaru didnt know it was totsuka and he said attack of that level wont effect me " and nagato resisted kabutos control and he's own movement so they could seal him and go on with war).

Totsuka is massively overrated, for a Itachi Uchiha fan you must not be around the base too often or you would know this.

It's not as fast as Orochimaru's sword of kusunagi

No. The snakes charge all at once and Itachi blocked it with Yata, as your scan clearly shows. This caused their heads to be close together, so Itachi was able to slice them all off at once with Totsuka being it's normal size.

It's also possible he cut them off one at a time as they tried to charge again.

While it's fully possible, being a spiritual entity, it can change size, this doesn't prove it.

totsuka blade is just a plot device meant to give(asspull) itachi a sealing jutsu,honestly i don't take it seriously as a power that can be explained logically.

With how much everyone on NB talks about totsuka blade it isn't underrated.It's just another dead relic from a gifted Uchiha with stamina problems and as far as I can tell, the blade moves at the wielders will. So if the person using it is slow to react/swing so is the blade.

Doesn't pierce everything, it has shown no defense piercing feats and only seals what it pierces. V3 and above> totsuka.
