I believe Izanami is a genjutsu. ^_^

But not kind of Genjutsu which the OP's talking about
Because the release of Izanami clearly depends upon the victim. Even the user cannot stop it if he wants to.

What type of genjutsu am I talking about? Genjutsu is genjutsu. Also the Izanami comment was regarding your first ever quote when clearly manga > your opinion. Lol, Sasuke and Itachi during their battle were throwing Genjutsus at each other. And they both knew what the other is doing.
That's how Genjutsu doesn't works. Itachi caught Sasuke with Tsukuyomi.
So I think Genjutsu won't work on Obito as well.

Genjutsu affects a person's chakra circulatory system and can control it in any specific way, finally controlling his senses...

I believe genjutsu should work since while Kamui'ing, person's not fully away from the real world, the visible part is present...

In a battle of Itachi(Genjutsu) Vs Obito(Kamui), Itachi would win(i.e. not the conclusive outcome but in the mentioned fields)...

Although his body is intangible Genjutsu doesn't cause physical damage though. I believe Genjutsu would still work on him unless he disappears completely into Kamui

I see......although I was asking for a scan of him actually leaving his entire brain in Kamui, but this will suffice, and common knowledge all depends on how common said knowledge is. Naruto isn't THAT popular, just saying....also I was looking for a scan where his entire body, just his body alone was in Kamui without his entire head. Though....maybe Im being a bit too technical, nonetheless thanks! >_O

Kakashi's analysis on obito's kamui, he came to the conclusion that he makes the body part that is targeted disappear into kmaui world. Stating that, he can phase any body part he wants.
