I sure hope so. But I don't know I think 8 Gates will be a mystery forever. It would really suck for Gai to go 8th gate and die in vain, because we all know he can't be the one to take down Madara.

I have feeling that the 8th gate will also come with a physical transformation. That would be bad ass.
Its interesting that you say that. (In no way am I trolling) I can see Hiruzen using the 8th gate if anyone, because he wouldn't die he used it. And if he did master every justu in the leaf, its a good possibility that he can use it. That way we can see the power of the 8th gate and don't have to worry about watching Might Guy or Lee die afterwards.

I doubt that that Kishimoto would create something like the eight gates, and never reveal it. That's like Vegeta forever talking about super saiyan a in DBZ, but Goku never going it.

Anyone else question how they know they can go into the 8th gate without having done so before hand because it kills you afterwards?

Hmm....I feel the 8th gate would put Gai/Guy on the level, or slightly higher than Hashirama and Madara. In exchange for his life I believe he'd be that powerful.
