Taijutsu vs Genjutsu

I like Taijutsu more, genjutsu unless you have high ranking custom gens or sharingan genjutsu is less potent and is more about supplementing you in battle, giving you openings and setting up combos and plans. But Taijutsu is straight forward its purpose is to attack in short range, its much faster and its mainly about creativity on how you use it. So yeah I'd say tai.

xD I actually like tai a lot, when I finish I plan on specializing in it. Its very soulful. I remember having one free-form battle with tai but I can say now that was probably my most enjoyable battle, I like training in it just as much. Its like painting a picture when you are trying to use taijutsu and free-form. Its an art form and must be treated with respect U_U.

Taijutsu vs Genjutsu

There is a really good fight in Katekyo Hitman Reborn! in which the Martial Arts master and the Illusionist master fight each other; it's actually really good. It's a short fight, but it's all Taijutsu v Genjutsu. In the end, it basically shows that mind over matter can only go so far... However, the fight is interrupted before it's finished, so I can't use that fight as perfect evidence in this argument.

Personally, I like Genjutsu more than Taijutsu. It provides a supplementary angle to fight with, and allows the user to fight from a distance rather than risk their body. Taijutsu comes with great risk, as you're close enough for any number of techniques, whether they're chakra-produced jutsu or other martial arts/weapon techniques, to be able to be used in counter. You have to be really confident with your strength to enter Taijutsu fights, like Gai and Lee, because if you are weaker, you are guaranteed to lose. If you fight with Genjutsu, it can help you gauge your opponent's strength, and if you're weaker than them you can change your fighting style to adapt to what you're fighting. In the end, it's all perspective, but I prefer Genjutsu over Taijutsu. And seeing as my senpai prefers Taijutsu over Genjutsu, we appear to be Yin and Yang. <.<
