I guess you've got a Devil Fruit. Do you want the Marine base to burn?
And just to let you know, Oak Trees don't fight with fire!
It's tough for Adam as this will prove his worth. Victory will do that , but the cost will be great , making him insufficient as a Marine who's job is protecting the public. But if he loses the battle he will be showing the right frame of mind , as if he keeps on going this way then this swordsman will simply keep burning things. But then a loss can result in an even larger death toll.
